I adjust my grip slightly depending on game and scenario. The two best examples I can think of are how high I position my fingers and whether I use 122 or 131. For Apex and CSGO I use 131 most of the time since I like using scrollwheel for jump while not having to give up m1 or m2 temporarly. For games where I dont need my scrollwheel that often (for example diabotical, osu, titanfall, ...) or in situations where I need to hold an angle, knowing I wont use m2 any time soon (for example with awp in csgo) I use 122. How high I position my fingers is rather random. Sometimes I position my fingers higher up since it feels like it takes less force to click (sometimes helpful for spamclicking) other times I just stretch out my fingers a bit more and put them next to my scrollwheel.
we should give this video to all that people that answer the "your grip is how you naturally grab your mouse" at least someone is actually using his brain and more than that. THANK YOU!

Anchored Angled Fingertip grip ( no palm touch) Behind wheel tips The best finger layout for me is (Fingers from left to right 1-5): 1. on the left side 2. on left-click 3. on right-click 4. and 5. are close to each other resting on the mousepad slightly pushing the right side of the mouse 1-2-2

Own 30+ mice in total but those are what I'm using right now, favoring the Ducky at the moment. Mousepad is a Zowie GS-R (stacked on a QCK heavy).
1. Anchored. 2. Angled. 3. Hybrid Palm. 4. Relaxed Fingertip. 5. Wheel Tips. 6. Crazy: I hold my mouse like an Englishman drinks his tea, sticking my pinky out. I think I started doing it because I have long fingers but prefer medium mice. But I also found that this allows the mouse to move more freely inside my palm because it's not caged between all my fingers. When I'm not aiming, my pinky rests on the mousepad, like most of my palm. That's why I love mice with thumb rests for work and lazy gaming: they allow me to have all my fingers rest on some horizontal surface, relaxing all my hand muscles when I don't need them. G Pro Wireless (Gaming) / Basilisk Ultimate (Work).
1. Elevated (With a wrist rest) 2. Angled 3. No part of the Palm is touching the mouse even a little bit 4. Relaxed Fingertip (transitioning to a clenched claw for moments where more precise aim is required) 5. Wheel tips / Behind wheel tips 6. Together Mouse is a G703
Mine is as follows (on a Logitech G900): 1. Anchored (bottom of palm touching mousepad and I use my fingers to move the mouse around, except for long sweeping movements) 2. Straight (hand/forearm inline with mouse shape) 3. Palm (whole palm resting on back of mouse body) 4. Relaxed claw (fingers slightly bent whole fingerprint area touching mouse buttons) 5. Front (fingers right at the edge of the mouse buttons) 6. Separated (thumb on left side of mouse, index and middle finger on M1 & M2 respectively, ring & pinky finger on right side of mouse)
mice without a back deserve some exploring. I currently use the mm720 and its really good but I would prefer the sensor to be a bit more to the front to have full finger tip precision

I love how detailed this is! The fourth point is kinda hard to determine for my style. A lot of my palm is in contact with the mouse, and I use the 1-2-2 grip, but still my middle finger is arched in a relaxed position, while my index is flat. So I guess my style would be: 1. Anchored 2. Angled 3. Palm or hybrid palm 4. ? (Only my middle finger is arched, so I guess this would be a palm/claw hybrid?) 5. Front tip 6. Separated I just bought your mouse, because I had to test the very specific shape to my grip. Unfortunately it didn't fit my style, but I was wondering if you would consider putting out a guide on how to find the perfect shape, using clay? In any case, thank you for deep diving into aiming. It is my passion, and you help pave the way to perfection.
1. Anchored 2. Straight 3. Palm 4. Relaxed 5. Wheel 6. Separated Current mouse is Logi MX Ergo Trackball Wireless Not sure why, but this mouse has worked best for me so far.

Made a new standard, nominated for the nobel prize :D
we should give this video to all that people that answer the "your grip is how you naturally grab your mouse" at least someone is actually using his brain and more than that. THANK YOU!

Mouse - G203 (After a year of searching I'm right back using the model I started with)
egg gang baby, g203 has been the best mouse and I have come back to it after trying several other mice, I'm more of a palm claw though
Your meticulous work is highly appreciated!
1. Elevated, but when not aiming for longer period anchored (relaxing).

Mice: GPX Superlight, M42, MZ1 and MM720. I like to switch between them.
I currently use Razer viper mini and it works flawlessly, the only thing I can complain is the high lift-off distance but it doesn't affect my gameplay at all though
My grip is literally the same as you, it feels so natural and comfortable to use that style of grip for me too!
You can change the lift off distance on your viper mini
@@JayForsure Tried it a lot of time to lower the lift-off distance to 1 mm, didn't do a single thing

I mainly play Overwatch. I used to play at 122 but after trying Zen's orb settings on scroll wheel, I switched to 131. I also set my melee at middle mouse button which works out for my Zen's orb settings. I currently play with Razer basilisk ultimate which is perfect for my hand: not too heavy, wireless, and big enough to fit my hand.
Nice informaiton. For some reason I do better when my thumb is touching the mouse mat. I did to know others also did this.

Currently on my desk are a G Pro Superlight, Ducky Feather, EG XM1, and of course an Xtrfy MZ-1. Own 30+ mice in total but those are what I'm using right now, favoring the Ducky at the moment. Mousepad is a Zowie GS-R (stacked on a QCK heavy).

3. Palm (whole palm resting on back of mouse body)

Omg, we are mouse grip twins! Seriously, though, thank you for this. It was very helpful!
mice without a back deserve some exploring.

So I guess my style would be:
1. Anchored
2. Angled
3. Palm or hybrid palm
4. ? (Only my middle finger is arched, so I guess this would be a palm/claw hybrid?)
5. Front tip

I just bought your mouse, because I had to test the very specific shape to my grip. Unfortunately it didn't fit my style, but I was wondering if you would consider putting out a guide on how to find the perfect shape, using clay?
In any case, thank you for deep diving into aiming. It is my passion, and you help pave the way to perfection.
the third one is tough for me... none of my palm touches the mouse. literally just my fingertips.
