- On June 22, we invited Adventurers to the picturesque village of Beynac-et-Cazenac, the inspiration for our beloved in-game city, Heidel, for Black Desert's 10th year anniversary.
And so, we've prepared this special highlight video as a way for those of you who couldn't be there to have a glimpse into some of the unforgettable moments we hope all Adventurers can experience.
At Heidel Ball 2024, attendees were guided by their Adventurer Log and participated in activities throughout Heidel, such as Duel for Spot, Fishing, Archery, and more. They were also greeted by their favorite in-game NPCs with the help of an AR Filter on their phones.
The day was topped off with a keynote presented by Black Desert Executive Producer, Jaehee Kim, CM Endlaive, and CM Alejandro, a musical concert performed by Pearl Abyss Audio Producer Jiyoon Kim, rooftop cocktails, a gala dinner by Michelin-starred chef, and fireworks with a complimentary light show illuminating the Heidel Castle!
This on-site event was prepared by Pearl Abyss Europe with the support of the entire Pearl Abyss company.

Watching this was very emotional. Being self a Heidel citizen for over 7 years ingame it's just amazing to watch how you transform the real city into our beloved Heidel :D. Great work you put in this live event! It must have been an incredible experience to take part in it!

Love the fact that you guys rented out the real castle and did the whole Black desert experience in real life, BDO has been here for 10 years it's worth the celebration. :D Ever since I learned about the real castle Heidel was based on it's been on my bucket list to visit. ^_^

Apart from being the best mmo action rpg, just by looking at this highlight, black desert has the best community and irl events.

Having a game company marketize the game into such a real life scenario feels great! Marketing reasons aside, not many company would pull this off and BDO being in the MMO space for such a long time feels like such a great achievement for Pearl Abyss to be this successful. Very deserved!

Best thing is the music of course.
The Ball looked so great and I've watched streamers debrief it and all say the same, one of the best IRL event.
No matter how the game is, lets hope its stay like this for ''another 10 years''

My favorite part of the Event was , the people that were there at that day. All the kind players from around EU and the World, all the great people from PA and also the very friendly people of Beynac that sometimes couldnt believe what happened in their nice city, made that day so memorable ! Thanks for this great Event and please come back to Europe as soon as possible ! :-)

The balls from Black Desert are simply the best of all MMOs - you're always excited about what awaits you and the cool thing is that you have two of them a year with the Heidel Ball and the Calpheon Ball together. I'm always super excited to see what new things await us and I have to say I was really happy to finally hear something from Demon Land again since it was announced a long time ago. This Heidel ball was a clear 9/10 for me, it would have been a 10/10 if a new class had been announced ^^
My favorite part of the Heidel Ball 2024 was definitely the reveal of the new classes! The detail and creativity in their design and abilities blew me away. You can really tell how much effort the devs put into making Black Desert Online such an immersive and exciting game. Big thanks to the team for always keeping us on our toes and making the game better and better every year!
