This is how we used to be in America..three-four decades ago. I think most of us would agree. We went to school, came home, did homework, chores, chatted with our neighbors and friends, went to church on Sundays, played baseball, went to our playgrounds, talked to girls, snuck alcohol and sometimes hid in the trunk of a car to get into the drive-in. We went swimming, took vacations and played our favorite songs. We even went to concerts if we worked (and valued a strong work ethic) and could afford tickets. And, we escaped many of our dysfunctional homes only if it was for several hours. It was a time when we knew how important that escape to the playground or football games and concerts truly was. We sang along and memorized the lyrics to our favorite songs then to prove it. We socialized face to face. We took the time to build relationships with others. How did we move so far from those chersihed elements in our lives.. Yes, we all must grow up and older, but are we making progress. We used to hold doors open, greet strangers on the street or in stores, now we can't even muster up a hi? God forgive us, bless and help us.
Bass: Mark King level 42, guitar: Eric Clapton + Mark Knopfler, drum : Phill Collins. Piano: Elton John. Song & lyrics : Daryl hall & John Oates. Singer: George & Paul. What else do you want ...?
I'm agree, this song was played from the best musicians of that time in that occasion. Moreover Every Time you go Away in my opinion is one of the best song in the history of music. Awesome!!!
It’s so hard to watch George Michael he was so amazing and his story is so heartbreaking 💔 such a big part of my life growing up.😢 Prayers 🙏 that he os in a beautiful place happy and free
What an 80s treasure -- thank God for RUclips & the internet! 2 of the best male vocalists ever, with a backup band of icons & an enthusiastic audience! George, you left us way too soon. ❤
I lived a few minutes away from Wembley Arena, and I went to the concert as a teenager. I had no idea how privileged I was at the time. Watching this performance reminds me that some of the greatest artists found fame in the 80s Inc Madonna; Michael Jackson (as a solo artist); U2; Dire Straits etc. George made this song even better than it already was!
How did the stage not collapse under the weight of that much talent? We will never see this kind of thing again. It was a wonderful but fleeting time in life.
Always fun to find a new gem. GM had control here. Not saying Paul Young wasn’t doing his best but GM’s stage presence and comfort and ease on stage shines here.
RUclips never ceases to amaze me I’m 52 and never would I have ever seen this masterpiece if it wasn’t for allowing me to hark back to the good old days not all technology is bad !for this fantastic platform Thankyou
The year 1986 was the most magical year of a magical decade. It was a fountain of heavenly music. If God lets me choose to go back in time, 1986 it is.
I find myself smiling throughout this and I hadn’t realised. Very touching. Their voices really worked well together. Sad to remember those days that are now gone.
Unexpected, unrehearsed and look how this duet turned out... this is what happens when you put two great artists together. I think George really shined in this duet but then again didn't he always with anybody anywhere! We miss you so George...
This is a piece of treasure 🥇💎 not only are there 2 of the most handsomest men with exceptional vocals singing this, but a band consisting of Elton John on Keys, Eric Clapton on guitar and Phil Collins on drums!! Fantastic 👏👌
Quels talents! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Back in the day, big names in the music industry loved to do a collaboration with other fellow big artists for pure music, today, well ..... never mind.... 😏😏😏

These 2 guys did it so effortlessly. A literal mike drop for this incredible version. I think that star studded band deserves part of the magic Paul and Michael pulled off.
What a collection of talent...loved this song by Paul Young...even better with George by his side..their voices really were a great offset..and both were sooo easy on the eyes...add Elton and Eric..seriously ..great performance.

Que des musiciens et chanteurs hors normes. Quelle époque riche en émotions !!!❤❤❤
We didn’t realize the amount of talent we had access to in the 80s
Speak for yourself. Some of us knew EXACTLY wtf was going on when it was happening.
Compared with what we have to put up with on the radio now, I agree we didn’t know that this was really the golden age of music.
I agree
Count yourself lucky, we younger’s have to put up with this bollocks music of today
We did, and we still do know.
Oh for the days when you not only could afford a stadium price ticket but there was also someone worth the price, really miss George.
George Michael and Paul Young! Love this! We miss you George😪
