Elizabeth Berkley Lauren (born July 28th, 1972) is an American television, film, and theater actress most notable for appearing in the television series “Saved by the Bell” as brainy feminist Jessie Spano, and in the 1995 Paul Verhoeven film “Showgirls” as exotic stripper Nomi Malone.
Mark-Paul Gosselaar (born March 1st, 1974) is an American actor well known for portraying Zack Morris on "Good Morning, Miss Bliss," "Saved by the Bell" and "Saved by the Bell: The College Years."
Mario Lopez, Jr (born October 10th, 1973) is an American actor and entertainment journalist better known for portraying A.C. Slater on "Saved by The Bell" and as host of the syndicated entertainment news magazine show “Extra.”
“Saved by the Bell” is an American television sitcom that aired on NBC from 1989 to 1993. The show follows a group of high school friends and their principal. Primarily focusing on lighthearted comedic situations, it occasionally touches on serious social issues, such as drug use, driving under the influence, homelessness, remarriage, death, women's rights, and environmental issues.

Mario Lopez came to my house in Lake Geneva, WI when he was filming a movie around there back around 1997. I was only 12 and Saved by the Bell was my life!!! My cousin brought him over to watch some fight and I sat and starred at him. He was the nicest guy ever. When he came in, my niece was crying and he asked to hold her. He calmed her and let me sit right next to him while I starred at him. He winked at me twice and never seemed bothered by me and my friend or the baby. He was warm, friendly, fatherly and made us all feel like he was just another guy. I am so glad that the only famous person I met was genuine great person. Thank you Mario Lopez for going out of your way to make my night special!!

Mark-Paul was always shy and reserved. He was known for being the exact opposite of Zack Morris. Mario, on the other hand, was very much like his character.
@@KrisBryant99 why would he need to “save face” for just being an actor doing a character that he didn’t create. Slater was often just as awful as Zack was too, but that was the creators and writers choice and Mark Paul doesn’t need to defend himself or save face in anyway.

It was on Prime Time TV instead of Saturday Mornings, the show started off good, but then they added the Professor and the Dean to the cast and then they were rehashing old storylines from the High School Years and most of all, the show was on Tuesday Nights at 8/7 Central and it was up against the Hi abc Comedy Series Full House (which was still in the Nielsen Ratings Top 20 for the 4th straight season) and the CBS Reality Series Rescue 911 with Star Trek Legend William Shatner (which was still in the Nielsen Ratings Top 30 for the 3rd straight season)

The catalyst for after school specials for my generation. Not to sound corny, but this show gave kids confidence and taught valued lessons that many parents failed to teach their kids. Im 33 yrs old and the nostalgia will never die from the memories of this show

On Mario's interview with Howard Stern from a few years back (which I can't find anymore), he says he HAD to go see so he could support his friend. But you could tell he didn't think it was a great movie when he walked out....

I will always be a fan of Mario Lopez because as a Mexican American 5-8 years old there wasn’t people like me on tv and I gravitated towards him.
I remember when Mario Lopez also appeared on Pacific Blue during the mid 90's to early 2000's. It was basically Baywatch on Bikes.
I only started watching that show cause he was on it and then realized it had a lot of beautiful women on it. USA network was great back then.

Wow great panel they literally touched on everything controversial. And they just simply answered it.
It's funny how little they remember about the show...and it's sad that I can practically do a one man show recap if asked.
Being IN something is different from watching it and repeat watching it. Actors really don't watch or rewatch their work and MANY don't even watch it.
It's no different then most peoples first jobs when they're 16 years old. Granted its not filmed and put on TV but do you really remember the everyday details of when you worked at a blockbuster or McDonalds at 16 years old?
Also, they were thrust into national stardom because the show was very popular. Even internationally. Mark-Paul, in particularly, was the face of *SBTB* and had the main focus on him. He was 14-18 during his time on the show and I can't imagine being under the spotlight/scrutiny at that age. In short, they had a lot going on, more than the average teenager.
@@musicaltheatergeek79 No one on any show remembers all of the details like the fans do. When you're caught up in it all you just get through the day of filming and then move onto the next episode. You're not rewatching the show 20 times like the fans do.

I would love to be about as famous as the cast of "Saved By The Bell" they get to work with their idols and be in famous, but are still down to earth.
The sad part of this is that the show meant so much to a lot of us as teenagers but it was so long ago for them and they clearly haven’t rewatched episodes. I hope before the new show they go back and rewatch the old episodes because that is what the fans want to reminisce about as they try to do this new show.

I do as well and find personally strange because just 5 years ago when someone who plays Lisa Turtle in the Bayside Musical called on the Andy Cohen's show to ask Mark-Paul if he didn't mind reprising his role as Zack for that Lisa & Zack episode not once did he say he didn't remember. Here now he acts strange and tries to talk around it, what for?
He has really been acting strange here lately when it comes to anything Lark Voorhies related. He made news early this year for bringing up he and Elizabeth Berkley dated, okay we all know that. But most people know how much he and Lark dated more seriously. We all have exes so what is the big deal? Why suddenly after years openly admitting you dated Lark to suddenly act as if she never existed?

I think the problem is... Zach Mario Tiffany and Elizabeth... Thought they were too good for the show... And it went to their head... They thought they were bigger celebrities than what they actually are... And a lot of people said those four were toxic to work with... And I think Lark felt left out from day one.. and I do believe Dustin was bullied on the show... Because if you ever re-watch old episodes as a adult you kind of get the vibe... And I think that's why Lark was diagnosed with depression and anxiety... I think in her mind she relives the show... It happens to a lot of child actors...

I was thinking about how talentless she is. Also, was thinking how she tried to help her boyfriend sue Leonardo DiCaprio for 50 million dollars. She get cought telling lies ( She claimed DiCaprio assulted her boyfreind at a club. It turned out cctv footage showed DiCaprio was across the road getting into a taxicab when the assult took place and it was also the boyfreind who started the fight. He brought an army bayonett to the bar to attack someone else. The boyfriend was thrown out of the bar by bouncers . Why sue DiCaprio? Answer, because he was rich. The fact he earned his money through hard work and talent didn't seem to matter. The case was dismissed. She dumped her boyfriend outside the courtroom when she discovered he lost the case. Classy woman.

coming to this very late but it’s weird that MP deflected the zack/lisa question. especially when he’s admitted to dating lark for years while the show was running. she was his only legitimate relationship that didn’t seem like just a “fling” like tiffani and elizabeth. i guess maybe it’s a sensitive subject to talk about her or her character since she’s been mentally ill. unfortunate.

Couple of years ago I was in Vegas at a club and Mr. Belding was at VIP area hanging out with Paris Hilton, her sister, and Kevin Connolly actor from "Unhappily Ever After" tv show (rip off Married with children) Few other people were with them but they didn't wanna show their face.

Too bad Dustin doesn't get any love. He was more talented than all of them, not that the others weren't also talented. I was just watching SBTB a few months ago, and really noticed Dustin's comedic timing, voices and impressions, physical comedy, and the little bit of heartfelt dramatic performances. He was constantly called on to give his all and he did.

RIP DUSTIN DIAMOND. I get it he was 3 years younger on the show but go to the 31:40 ish mark when they talk about being nice to him. Mario Lopez was the only one who was and I guarantee Mark and Elizabeth will always regret how they treated him, especially Mark. I heard he was really bad to him on set and you can tell by how he answered the question it was bad. I get it, he was 15. But look at his response. No remorse or saying hes grown and changed he just casually said oh yea I was an ass. So sad. Show was a huge part of my childhood and I think these stars need to understand they probably wouldnt be where they are now if it wasnt for Screech. He made the show. He was 80% the reason I watched it. 18% for the girls. 2% for Belding, I actually thought he was vital to the show as well.
Not trying to shirk any of his responsibility for himself, but Dustin being treated badly by everyone is probably what caused him to turn into such an odd jerk in adult life. Childhood bullying really effs people up, and constantly feeling like an outcast of a group surely messed him up pretty bad. Regardless of who he was, the fact he was here and fine one minute, then diagnosed with cancer and dead in the span of a month, is pretty damn tragic.
I hate when they act like they don’t remember. Each episode probably took a week to shoot and they had to shoot those scenes for hours. They had to remember some of it!

I was there at that very comic con and we were instructed we could not mention Dustin diamond to any of them. I did get to talk to Mario Lopez and I ignored the rule and he told me, to my face that he was very disappointed with his behavior on celebrity fit club

Don't like the way that Mark Paul claims to forget about Lisa and Zack being together. I am sure he remembers. He dated her in real life, I think that could have played a part in the relationship not going anywhere or being explained on screen.Mark Paul always claims to have dated Elizabeth and Tiffini but never mentions dating Lark when it was apparently a serious relationship according to gossip, way more serious than with Tiffini and Elizabeth . Something must have happened with the way Mark and Lark ended , must have been a nasty ending imo. My question would have been why they never crossed over our mentioned "California Dreams". You could tell they were in yhe same universe. I feel like the answer to the Lisa and Zack question I felt he deflected the answer because I feel like given what had happened in the news about her issues and everything he doesn't want to have any association with their dating life.
It looked like Mark-Paul was dancing around the question. But the answer was probably as simple as they wanted to explore Zack and Lisa (along with the challenge to Zack and Screech's friendship) but never take away from the fact that Kelly was Zack's dream girl.
Well even if that is true and that is why I personally find that kind of cruel on his part. She can't help what has happened to her. She's dealt with a lot of awful relationships and etc. within her life since her SBTB days. If this is true on his part, the tells me he never really cared for her. I know yeah, he is married now and moved within his life but I personally feel there was a classier way to handle anything Lark related.

First things first is none of us know any of these people and many cling to the characters but reality was they are actors who were very young doing a Saturday morning tv show. So many comments here and elsewhere talking about how they weren’t kind to Dustin. They were kids! Think of how you all were in high school. They were kids and dealing with working on set, dealing with moderate fame etc, and Mark admits he wasn’t nice to Dustin. When the show ended they went about their lives looking for other jobs, Dustin I’m sure wanted other gigs but only got more SBTB and harbored ill will from being with them as kids and not being friends. It is what it is and he obviously didn’t handle it well. The funny thing is everyone thinks because they act on set, all actors are friends. Are you friends with all your coworkers? Of course not. Some you probably hate. It’s the way of life.

They should have a SBTB reunion movie. They can have a class of 1993 reunion and also have Mr. Belding retiring as the long-time principal of Bayside HS. It can be funny and emotional. That would be better than some corny sitcom trying to recreate the magic of the original.

This was my show back then on Saturdays. And holy shit Mark Paul aka Zack Morris was so hot back then. I had such the crush on Zack. I liked the bad boys who always started trouble and would try to get out of trouble. Zack was that dude. Loved him.

@@vanmoody it's not surprising at all. Dustin and the rest of the cast can't stand each other. He also wrote a book slandering everybody else. Pretty sure he killed any chance he would have had to reunite. Lark has struggled with mental health. Tiffani i'm surprised isn't here.

@@weakweek85 I'm not too surprised about Tiffani. Although I know Mark- Paul isn't overly fond of discussing SBTB Tiffani seems to really hate talking about it. She only did it that whole Fallon thing because it was a huge deal.
