Torrential rain, strong winds and storm surge occurred along the Maine coast, causing flooding in coastal areas and forcing officials to close roads and beaches. This knocked out power to tens of thousands of customers.
According to authorities the storms on Tuesday night and Wednesday morning caused major damage in many communities in Maine, including Owls Head, Kennebunk, Lincolnville, Bernard, Vinalhaven, Bar Harbor, Winter Harbor, New Harbor, Boothlay Harbor, Portland, Machias and surrounding areas.
People who live in town say the damage all happened very quickly. While the storm also caused significant damage at the Pemaquid Point Lighthouse just down the point from New Harbor.

I thought this video might be clickbait but it isn't. Houses are being dragged into the ocean. That's just terrible for the owners. They would be foolish to rebuild in that area as it will only get worse in time as the oceans are slowly rising each year. Beaches all around the world are being eroded by the oceans.😢
