Apart from Lonely Island, my list would look different: every Monty Python song, also every song from Top Secret!, every Rhett and Link song, quite a few of Barely political songs...just to name a few.
Part two needs to have something by jazzemu because his songs are so funky and I can help but groove even if the subject matter is so absurd and random like the similarities between a dad and a supermodel. I also couldn’t get human centipede by Tom carry out of my head for like 4 days after hearing it and the music video that goes with it has such good art.
He's right everything from Flight of the Concords first season is top tier. My fav lonely island has definitely gotta be Jack Sparrow with Michael Bolton, that one gets stuck in your head so easily! Ylvis is great although i love what does the fox say don't care if it's more for kids.

I wish there was some Jonathan Coultan and Tom Lehrer. These were pretty good, but Poisoning Pigeons in the Park is my jam and who doesn't love Skull Crusher Mountain?
We need some NInja Sex Party, Tom Cardy and Weird Al in that compilation! We could've easily ditched 4-5 unfunny songs to make room for them! Ylvis, Bo Burnham and the Lonely Island will always live in my playlist. Gosh they made some bangers!
Ylvis are the greatest to do it in my opinion; always comes up with crazy, surreal ideas and backs it up with high production quality. Everything is made for their TV shows within Norway, and blowing up internationally was never the intention. It is so damn cool though; made them by far the biggest comedians of all time here in Norway
It’s a complete disservice that Ylvis will be remembered for The Fox because all their other songs are incredible. All of Songs From Norway is fantastic and their Pentatonix parody is spot on.
I had such a visceral reaction when you called "Hello Muddah, Hello Faddah" just ok. Probably because you hadn't even gotten to the best parts, which are toward the end and not the beginning. I grew up with that song and I was just waiting for that song to come up, but was half expecting it not to because it's so old. (For context, the letter ends first with the boy requesting that his parents pick him up even though he's only been at Camp Granada one day, then he realizes it has stopped raining and tells them to disregard his letter (the letter where he says his campmates have gotten food poisoning, malaria, and lost in the woods) 😂)
Surprised Tom Lehrer didn't make it in , Axis of Power , Stephan Lynch , or There may be Giants , hell even Weird Al ! They're all brilliant comedian singers . You definitely need to do a part 2 and at least have a few of those singers in !!
No Weird Al,? No Ninja Sex Party? No Victoria Wood? Tim Minchin? Bad Lip Reading? There are so many out there that this list missed out on. Would love to see you react to some of those!
I feel like Welcome To The Internet, The Song About Everything Sad, and A Song From God's Perspective, could have easily been the top three. Bo Burnham is so great.

Absolutely criminal to not include Tim Minchin or Weird Al. I think Axis of Awesome, Bloodhound Gang and Bowling For Soup should all be in there Including 2 and a half men intro is a strange one... So many funnier songs out there from other shows. Guy Love from Scrubs would be the best for me but there are great songs from South Park, HIMYM, Community, Family Guy, The Office (UK and US) etc
Joel, I realize county is not really your gig, but, honey? This list is nowhere near complete without listing Ray Freaking Stevens. Ray Stevens. Surely You Joust. Funniest album I have ever heard. And this from a Weird Al aficionado. (As to that, where the flip was Weird Al on this list?!?!) Dude. Ball. Dropped.

The 2 Sidemen Christmas songs needed to be their
It would (Edit: is)be criminal if brofist and Congratulations weren't on this list. Both are legitimately good songs in their own right. (Posted prior to watching). Also Merry Christmas, kiss my ass by all time low is fantastic.
True, although I think Roomie might be just a little biased towards Congratulations
@@dasha_ucko it would be the same for brofist since roomie also made that
@@aymonverheij1863 Oh, ok..I thought he might've, but I wasn't sure.
If you want to hear some older hit songs that are really funny here's a list of a few you might not have heard. All of these were chart topping radio hits. 😂
1. Short People (Randy Newman)
2. Disco Duck (Rick Dees)
3. The Streak (Ray Stevens)
4. A Boy Named Sue) Johnny Cash
5. Fish Heads (Barns and Barns)
6. Purple People Eater (Sheb Wooly)
7. King Tut (Steve Martin)
8. Slish Splash (Bobby Darin and the Fleetwoods)
9. Cheeseburger in Paradise (Jimmy Buffet)
10. Charlie Brown (The Coaster)
Stonehenge by Ylvis is the best comedy song of all time. EPIC song!! 😫😫
Apart from Lonely Island, my list would look different: every Monty Python song, also every song from Top Secret!, every Rhett and Link song, quite a few of Barely political songs...just to name a few.
Joel and August should make a comedy song together!
Part 2 (if it happens) should include Jack Sparrow by Lonely Island, and maybe some NSP (Mansion Party, Dragon Slayer, First Date)
including freaky Friday by lil dicky ft. Chris brown
He's right everything from Flight of the Concords first season is top tier. My fav lonely island has definitely gotta be Jack Sparrow with Michael Bolton, that one gets stuck in your head so easily! Ylvis is great although i love what does the fox say don't care if it's more for kids.
A lot of the "gag" songs from Smack the Pony are really good
You guys should do this again for other bands and musicians. Like TWRP, Planet Booty, and NSP
Tom Cardy's entire youtube channel is a goldmine of comedy music
i was expecting the snl its cuffing season sza versee its so catchy
THANK YOU I JUST COMMENTED THIS
I’m a self-proclaimed expert in GOOD comedy songs, i.e Comedy songs that actually BANGERS, so here goes:

Eminem - FACK (or ‘Just Lose It’)
Reel Big Fisg - Drunk Again

Crazy Ex-Girlfriend - No One Else Is Singing My Song (or ‘I Could If I Wanted To’)
Da Vinci’s Notebok - The Gates
Brian David Gilbert - Lay All Your Blood On Me
Flight Of The Conchords - Hurt Feelings (or ‘Carol Brown’ or my favourite: ‘Jenny’)
Tim Minchin - Ten Foot Cock and a Few Hundred Virgins (or ‘Some People Have It Worse Than I’ or the classic: ‘Dark Side’ or my favourite: ‘Confessions’)
Bo Burnham - From Gods Perspective (or literally any other - he’s a genius)
Infant Sorrow - The Clap (or ‘Bangers, Brans and Mash)

Brian Robert Jones - Shit On My Ass
This was fun! I'd love to see a part 2... maybe some Arrogant Worms, Stephen Lynch, and more Tenacious D!!! Love good quality comedy songs 🥰
Ohh I love arrogant worms!
Hermaphrodite is my favorite Stephen Lynch song!
Some that I enjoy: Russian Unicorn, Bushes of Love, Seagulls! (Stop It Now), Morning Dew, I'm Not Gay, Threw It On The Ground, Jack Sparrow, YOLO, 3-Way
I LOVE BLR!
Chocolate salty balls should be on this
The lonely island, Pewdiepie, Johnny Cash, and tenacious D are my top faves! 👌 literally listen to those bangers daily.
So many songs are coming to my mind right now. These are my favorite type videos you make!!! Thank you
I wish there was some Jonathan Coultan and Tom Lehrer. These were pretty good, but Poisoning Pigeons in the Park is my jam and who doesn't love Skull Crusher Mountain?
IKEA! A classic!
You should do this again! This was super fun ❤
I wonder if Joel would like Horrible Histories songs.
Man I LOVE Ylvis!!! All of their comedy songs are incredible. Was so happy to see them here :')
I can tell you that they are equally great if not better live. One of the best concerts I’ve ever been at.
I also recomment "Harry and Chris", "Huge Davies " and how can you not include Rhett & Link!
where is rhett and link bro
@@tannermartin6094 unmmm I said that
It’s a complete disservice that Ylvis will be remembered for The Fox because all their other songs are incredible. All of Songs From Norway is fantastic and their Pentatonix parody is spot on.
Thanks for the life-changing videos 🙌😏🤭
I can’t believe there was only one Bo Burnham song on the list, all of his songs are frickin hilarious
I'm from New Zealand and I grew up listening to a Flight of the Conchords CD over and over. They've always been awesome :)
Surprised Tom Lehrer didn't make it in , Axis of Power , Stephan Lynch , or There may be Giants , hell even Weird Al ! They're all brilliant comedian singers . You definitely need to do a part 2 and at least have a few of those singers in !!
I was wondering about Tom Lehrer. I love “poisoning pigeons in the park”. Also does Victor Borge qualify?
Also my United States of whatever
No Weird Al,? No Ninja Sex Party? No Victoria Wood? Tim Minchin? Bad Lip Reading? There are so many out there that this list missed out on. Would love to see you react to some of those!
Songs from the musical comedy show Crazy Ex Girlfriend should've been on that list
Oh yes.
The fact that Ryan Higa didn’t make the list is absolutely criminal
You missed Stephen Lynch, he is so great with Priest and DnD! :D
Earth was for charity and joel is just like "bad, next please"
Tom Cardy should be on this next time. His songs are hilarious
We need more of these!
you guys completely missed NSP!!
I feel like Welcome To The Internet, The Song About Everything Sad, and A Song From God's Perspective, could have easily been the top three. Bo Burnham is so great.
I was expecting Danny Gonzalez 🙁
holy crap. i had a weird obsession with the allen sherman song as a kid. i thought it was so hilarious, we had it burned on a CD and i would listen to it anytime we were in the car. this video unlocked a DEEP seeded memory of my like 4-8 years
im kinda sad you didnt have tim minchin in this compilation
still nice vid!!
Absolutely criminal to not include Tim Minchin or Weird Al. I think Axis of Awesome, Bloodhound Gang and Bowling For Soup should all be in there
Including 2 and a half men intro is a strange one...
Ball. Dropped.
I thought of Ray Stevens immediately too!
The man is absolutely brilliant. ❤️❤️❤️
Question is: Which Ray Stevens song would it be? Is the question would it be The Streak from 1971 or The Mississippi Squirrel Revival (can't remember it's year)?
@@michaelpopowich5095 I think that many of Ray's songs are a bit outdated unfortunately. Does Joel even know what "streaking" was? 🤭I think the Youth Church Swedish gospel-lover would like The Mississippi Squirrel Revival.
@@michaelpopowich5095 My favorite of his is actually Smokey Mountain Rattlesnake Retreat. Laugh until I pee almost every single bloody time I hear it!! 🤣😂🤣
Tribute is one of my favorite songs. It's funny, clever, and actually sound good!
There's a wacky song named: I'm my own grandpa. It's from a movie. Still stuck in my head years later
I've heard about that song but I actually never listened to the song itself, gonna search for it now 🤣
I have it memorized. Which I'm not sure if I should be proud or ashamed of.
i forgot about this song!
Ylvis brothers are some of the most talented people I know of. Love all they do
no OCD by Rhett & Link?
So many Lonely Island songs are hilarious and great songs. Also the entire Get Him to the Greek was hilarious and good as well.
