The travel videos are awesome, and I’m fully with you regarding the point that you have to travel light. Especially when you are hiking.
Another point to consider is, that the gear must be ready to use quickly. There’s nothing worse than loosing precious time in getting everything ready. That’s why I have finally bought the OM4. The OM3 is good but it always took me too long until it was properly balanced.

You have some steady hands. Every time I see the shots of the phone without a case on the om4 I am getting worried. I drop my phone very often so it never leaves my bumper case
If possible it‘s definitely a good idea to use a protective case. I guess with the iPhone 13 mini it would work well with a case on the OM4. I puz a lot of faith in those magnetic clamps ;)

I have the OM3, I guess I should move to the magnetic one which seems to be very practical (especially when wearing lots of stuff/gears also for the kids).
Do you know where I can best buy the bag from Switzerland ? I don't have a GoPro so I guess I might throw away the little cases for it. Or are they any bags that fits specially for mobiles like the iPhone ?
Glad you enjoyed the video! In your situation a small setup would make sense as you have other things to carry. You can order one using the link below from amazon in germany and let it send to you too switzerland. Not sure if they still make those though.

I usually end up taking two different shorts (landscape and portrait) so I can post the same content on two platforms, I am sure there’s a much better way. Asking from a newbie 😀☺️
They're software that allow you turn landscape video to portrait..

Hi, I wonder don’t you need an ND filter in order to shot at 24fps with 1/50 speed shutter or 60fps with 1/120 for cinematic content? I tried with my DJI Osmo Action it so bright, and I have to bought ND Set. Thank you for making great contents. Cheers!
If you want the extra motion blur yes, you would need an ND filter but for travel type videos where I’m run and gun shooting, I prefer to point and shoot with the camera and since I slow most of the footage down the motion blur won’t be noticeable anyways
@@BenettGraezer ok but what setting then are you shooting it at? meaning what fps and shutter speed? I'm guessing you are saying that you just set the fps and don't set the shutter at all and just use like an exposure lock and whatever it is it is?

Hi Benett. Why would you choose the om4 gimbal over the om5, or for that matter the moza mx2?
With the Dji OM4 i‘m able to charge my gimbal while shooting and has a very fast setup time.
@@BenettGraezer would you advise getting the DJI OM 4SE vs the OM 4? It doesn’t come with the magnetic ring holder, is that a huge problem? Also, is the DJI OM 4 compatible with the iPhone 13 pro max, no issues with the app or features?
Doesn’t really matter, they are almost identical. I only use the magnetic clamp and it works fine with the dji om 4 👍🏻 had no issues so far
Awesome video. I am visiting Paris on 19th and planning to buy Iphone 13 Pro Max to shoot my travel content. If you dont mind can you please answer my query. I will be shooting videos at 1080 30FPS, 4K 30FPS & 4K 60 FPS. For youtube upload at what Frame Rate and Bit Rate we should export after editing the videos for better quality?Currently I am using Kinemaster with my iphone 12 mini.
Thank you! In your case set your project timeline to 4k 30fps and export it that way. I most of the time upscale to 4K even though I have some footages shot in 1080p.

you are right, I took my 2.8kg heavy tripod with me on my trip to Eu but because of weight I was so exhausted and used only 10% of my whole trip. that was such a pain.

Samsung does come with a pro video features were you don‘t necessary need filmic pro 👍🏻
did you reocrd all 700 clips in prores? the data are so huge :D dont know how to handle that
and im looking for a gimbal.. looks like the om 4 is enough, the om 5 is so immobile up and down... its crazy... it seems the smooth 5 is great but there is no "quick" start here.. you just have to know what you want... it's so difficult to choose :(
All 700 clips were recorded in 8bit using filmoc pro some also in 10bit hdr. It is difficult to choose the right gimbal, thats true, I‘ve used many in the past but so far I‘ve been happy with the OM 4.

Thanks a lot! My suggestions is Stick with the iPhone 12 at the beginning. Learn to use the camera well, get smooth handheld shots, and if you're up for it, think about adding a gimbal for even better videos.

How are you taking all of that outdoor footage with an ND filter? Especially in 60fps with 1/120 shutter speed (proper setting). When I dialed that in without an ND filter it was just almost complete white in daylight

I noticed you have DJI OM5 also. Why did you choose OM4 over OM5?
With the Dji OM4 i‘m able to charge my gimbal while shooting and has a very fast setup time.
Would something like his be good for a beginner who just wants to have some fun? My bf was checking out the Hohem v2 but now he’s looking again 😂 is the ai cam on the v2 worth it?
It all comes down to what he need. The AI feature on the Isteady gimbal can be useful but I personally prefer the om 4 (portable power bank amd quick setup time). The om 4 is also great to start with as it doesn’t break the bank 👍🏻

OM4 has built in power bank and longer operating time, can handle heavier phones better. OM5 just has the built in ext. pole.

In our country only the Zhiyun Q3 and Om 4 or 5 is available but I like the new Zhang smooth Q4.
Then I would recommend the Dji OM4

I would not say better as each gimbal has their own unique features, it all comes down to what you need, i prefer having a quick setup time anf the ability to charge my gimbal while shooting. That‘s my i prefer the OM 4
