I'm glad other teachers are using these videos! I make a lot of them for my own students, but love that other teachers can use them as well! Thanks for encouraging your daughter in music!
I can play this song.. it’s legit just a minor f and e7... it’s an easy switch and I already know the lyrics so I just need to practice my transitions between chords. Thanks for the tutorial
@@ukeplayalongs okay. I have a Mac and I use a chromebook/pc at work (music teacher). I have a ukulele club and I'm looking for better ways to create things like this for my students. Also, thank you for creating these playalongs! I've used some of yours in my classroom
I have a full tutorial series on how I do it on RUclips.com/ukestuff; you can use iMovie (Dr. Jill Reese uses this); for audio the free way to change pitch is Audacity.
I often try not to make videos when someone else has it, unless I really want to make it. There are a couple of ukulele play alongs for that one, including this one by my friend Andy Ramos. ruclips.net/video/imBRfA5FHTA/видео.html
You made me go watch the whole video. Trust me...it's easy to make mistakes, and if you do, you can't just upload a new version on RUclips (I wish RUclips allowed for that). But, G is there. Look at 2:50 into the video. It only appears one time in the song.
I find myself playing only the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd strings. I pluck the 3rd string (C) and then strings 1 & 2, and I play along with the rhythm which is a triplet...if you think of 3 parts of each beat, the 3rd string gets the first 2 parts of the beat, and the 1 & 2 the second part of the beat. It's hard to write out without actually just showing it.
We played this for our music assessment using this video and got good grades. Thank you👍
That's great!
My elementry school child has ukelele class and they use this 🤩 My daughter has mastered this and this had made her so happy!

@@ukeplayalongs ha ha thanks
My favourite song
It had so much play time on the radio that it lost its freshness as a whole-but it will be back after it “breathes” for a while.
How did you change the key of the recording??
There are many programs that do this; it depends on what operating system you are using.

So am i
Ordered uke online and packaged didnt arrived yet... but Im searching for good videos to learn from and I like this song and idk what im saying.
Make sure to learn a few basic chords before jumping into playing songs...you will be more successful that way.
where is the G chord??
2:50 in the video.
It says it uses G but where is it?

I like doing D-Chuck D-C D-C
Thanks for sharing a strumming pattern!
I know to play ukulele
Keep on strummin’! :)
Does anyone know the strumming pattern or is it just one strum?😁
I find myself playing only the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd strings. I pluck the 3rd string (C) and then strings 1 & 2, and I play along with the rhythm which is a triplet...if you think of 3 parts of each beat, the 3rd string gets the first 2 parts of the beat, and the 1 & 2 the second part of the beat.

Nah bro this pattern is really helpful
I play ukelele I will try to play using this video
You can do it!
What's the strumming pattern?
There is no "right" answer for a strumming pattern, but I think a swung/shuffle strum DUDUDUDU works pretty well.
Am: D-DU-D-DU-D-DU-DU-DU F and G: D-DU-D-DU E7: D-DU-DU-DU
My ukulele teacher taught me this. It really works.
i do a simple 4d on am 2d on f and then 2d on e7
Lol
how is strumming??
There is no right answer. Certainly a lot of down strums...DDDD...
Holy crap is anyone else’s middle finger stinging? A and f have murdered it...
You'll get used to it over time...far easier than metal strings on a guitar.
Half of the views are my music teacher
Probably not…but it is great that your music teacher is trying to make music meaningful and relevant for you and your classmates.
DDUT
Thanks for sharing a strumming pattern!
What is T ?

i like to do D-DUD-DUD-DUD-DU
Whatever works best for you.
Too easy!!!!!!

At the suggestion of a ukulele manufacturer, I opened up comments (Still by approval) about a month ago. That's why there are so few comments.
