personally I find the Berkut is the best "all rounder" in t2, and the best strike fighter for damage/tanking is the A-10. The A-10 is slightly better because instead of AA armaments it has bombs so it's pretty easy to dish out over 100k damage per pass

Or you can risk another pass, then rearm. Its not ideal at all, id argue any t3 strike fighter is better because as you said the A-10 lacks speed, and it's hp is relatively low, but its still tanky enough to survive long enough to do some damage in most cases. I just encourage players (especially like level 20 & up to try it. A build I use is Shtorm with the A-10, pak da & a good fighter like the J50, swarmers, RBU & hind or black ghost. I just like doing stuff like that cause its so satisfying to smash a t3 ship by ripping 100k from his hp then sending in the pak da to close the kill while the A-10 reloads.
