Rayquaza, the Pokemon Emerald dragon of the sky. King Ghidorah, the golden dragon of the Monsterverse. Both are powerful dragons within their respective verses and franchises. However, in a battle between these two forces of nature, who would win? Join me today as we discuss who would win between Rayquaza and King Ghidorah from a powerscaling perspective.
I really hope you guys enjoyed this video. This took literal months of research. I hope I did both characters justice. Especially with all the crazy Godzilla x Kong The New Empire stuff. Mostly the things with Evolved Godzilla, as well as Shimo and Burning Godzilla.

As a Kaiju fan, hearing that Rayquaza can use Airlock and the fact that Ghidorah can passively create storms was what made me believe that our Golden boy is at a real disadvantage

Also, Gen 9 isn't bad, the game (In a game dev point) is bad. Everything else, including history, characters and pokemon are just nuts

They need to make a death battle of this fight like I’ve seen people request it in comments that form they be having in the description; hell even in streams I don’t get why they won’t make it I think it’s the most requested fight.
Even if monster zero is bigger rayquaza is has the size advantages he could dodge ghidora attacks easily and making ghidora a bigger target is like your trying to catch a fly that annoys you but your not fast enough to catch it

A fight i want to see: Zilla Jr vs Monsterverse Godzilla
First video of your’s that I’ve watch and I loved it. I’ve actually NEVER thought of this matchup before but hearing it was very interesting. One note (tho not actually about the matchup), unless this is just how you normally speak in everyday life, you speak quite slowly in this vid and eventually the things your explaining become slowly more boring and I can see people clicking off because of that. But in terms of your actual voice, it’s actually really nice!
Note: after writing this I put the vid in 1.25 and it actually sounded better lol
@@The_XYZ_01 I’ll keep that in mind for future videos. I try to speak somewhat slow to try to keep a sort of cool effect to maybe make it sound more intense. I also speak somewhat slow to try and make it clear about what I am talking about. From my personal experience and this could just be my own personal preference, but if I am watching a video where someone speaks too fast and is very in your face, especially when it comes to information about things such as power and vs debates (where normally you want to make yourself and your points clear anyway), then you could end up missing information and have to rewatch it a few times to grasp what they were saying.
That is just my own view on it. However I will definitely keep this in mind, thank you for your feedback!
@@UmbraTWolf Oh I completely agree. Making your points clear is definitley important. I just don’t think it’s needed to go slow to the point you’re taking it. However, that cool effect 100% works along with your deeper voice. Great video man 👍

If we use stats, Mega Rayquaza only gets a 1 and 5/34 boost (multiplication) because it’s base stats were only boosted by 100 out of its 680 in its base form, but the stats don’t work if we are powerscaling because it downscales everything if the stats can change due to different forms

I would love if you did something like Kratos vs Gor the god butcher. I honestly think it would be really cool if you showed off the power of them since you definitely have plenty of experience in power scaling plus there would be plenty of different types of evidence that you could pull from especially on kratos.
Gor is too much for Kratos. Marvel Thor makes GoW Zeus and Odin combined look like babies.

@@Redacted2525 No. In the MCU, Asgardians are aliens. In the comics they are actual Gods. Odin is the son of Bor, who is son to Yimir. Jormangunder exists and wraps around the world. Hela is Loki's daughter, alongside Fenrir as his son. If anything, Marvel is truer to Mythology than GoW (concerning the Norse Gods.)

True. It may be surprising, but the Godzilla scaling ( on the higher ends) gets way higher, with a minimum of 4th or 5th dimensional. Monster verse is pretty weak compared to both though.
I would NOT use gkotm (the youtuber not movie) for reference. He commonly expresses biased toward powerscaling. Hes also extremely disrespectful to those who dont agree with him
How is he biased he gives credit to every monster in fights and explains all their feats in a battle. Also usually the people who don’t agree with him are the biased Kong fans in comments hating on him so he has a reason to treat them horribly

Example is how he’d give heisei Godzilla extreme high balls but legendary unfair lowballs.

The planets regions are their own worlds they’re basically universes, like how it was said that the creation duo created sinnoh specifically. And sinnoh specifically would be destroyed even though the universe was supposed to be gone and a new one took its place. And that’s not factoring in the spirit world and dream dimension contained in that world. This low end scaling means not factoring in the cosmology and full scale. Though it’s if you factor in legends arceus and diamond/pearl and platinum

Yo awesome video my man keep up the great work hope you can reach 5k subs soon but I got a question the calc for the deoxys's meteor I did a calc myself but I only got the value to the yottatons extremely deep into the yottatons but still just large planetary and with the six mile radius it only gets to mountain level so may i please take a look at the calc
I showed it in the video. Keep in mind that the meteor was going to do more than just hit the earth, it was going to completely obliterate it. Large star comes from the amount of energy that Rayquaza would’ve needed to not only take, but push back to completely destroy the meteor the way he did, and also cancel its momentum. To cancel its momentum and completely destroy it.

Considering base groudon and kyogre can wipe out the planet, and primal groudon literally controls the sun, meaning large stars and rayquaza wipes them. Godzilla is at best dwarf star level
Monarch legacy scaling can get him to solar but if we're doing that we will use rayquaza scaling to necrozma

Hmm.. The speed is a for sure, but I’m not so sure from the AP. It required an amped Godzilla to match Ghidorah which is about 2 times base Godzilla overall. GvK Godzilla is considered weaker than the Godzilla that fought Ghidorah by a lot and thats before the Kong fight.
I remember statements for it saying GvK is almost full strength as a base, but not fully. Then after that Ghidorah received a buff which damaged Godzilla so significantly all Ghidorah had to do was just pick him up and drop him. Then we get into GxK with the supercharged blue Godzilla basically being a more charged supercharge and then he evolves. Base evolved is stronger than an amped Godzilla so at least 2x which basically means base evolved = Charged Ghidorah and arguably Ghidorah is stronger but probably not by a lot. Supercharged evolved is relative to thermo which I don’t like the scaling for but its consistent. Anyways, I’m not sure how much that would change things but yeah
High end rayquaza can get to multi solar so...
@@Cherry_Zilla idk about THAT much but he could get higher. If you’re REALLYY wanking Ghidorah then you could take the “Godzilla’s atomic breath is the strongest natural phenomena” to a black hole which could place him from Star level up to galaxy level but i do NOT agree with that scaling.
rayquaza proved to his gigantimaxed sized opponent. that SIZE never mattered. and power. was the true factor in this battle. and even if gidorah faced a different powerhouse legend. it's safe to say. monster zero is getting owned by any godly powered legend. this monstrous storm dragon. couldn't handle. the ultimate mega pokemon.. no.. the ultimate. dragon.

I honestly think that showa gihdora would be a better matchup than MV, but that's just me.
Rayquaza`s ability that removes weather effects would destroy Ghidorah's passive hurricane (right?). That would create an immediate disadvantage for ghidorah (which is not even needed😂) but even if they are on the same level in att potency, Ray would still easily beat ghidorah by speedblitzing him. (If they are on the same lvl, ray could just speedblitz him and keep hurting him until he runs out of energy to heal himself.

King Ghidorah easily wins here, hands down... if it's one of the stronger versions of King Ghidorah, like Showa where power scaling gets ridiculous. But if you're using Monsterverse Ghidorah then yeah I can see Rayquaza winning. But if it's like a big composite thing with all forms of King Ghidorahs' and their best qualities then yeah no Rayquaza stands no chance.
@@Fang1st I used Monsterverse since the lower ends for Rayquaza are comparable to MV Ghidorah and are more quantifiable.
We can also use cosmology and then Rayquaza outright clears every version of ghidorah

@@Alastordadeerno, if we composite Ghidorah and use the same rules, in which we could fairly evenly scale him to a composite Godzilla ( I'd say at least a third of its power), and considering a single Godzilla can outscale the entire Pokémon multiverse, it's fair to say a composite one does, and by extension a composite Ghidorah.
@@christophermonteith2774 Nah rayquaza would still win with high end scaling, if you scale him to comp creation trio he one shots the comp verse they rule the main concepts of cosmology.

Different one. Honestly, this one's feats are just about continental, and scaling ( if we allow for the largest scaling to monster verse Godzilla, which is dubious at best) maybe universal plus. Though under that same scaling, rayquaza can still outmatch it.
To be fair if they did exist in the same universe rayquaza would act more like rodan. What I mean is rodan follows Godzilla but won’t do as he’s told, so going of by that ghidorah will control rayquaza but rayquaza will mainly do as he pleases until he’s really needed.
Rayquaza is not letting ghidorah slide because he's kinda like groudon and kyogre because he's destroying things with his hurricane like kyogre and groudon fighting
@@Cherry_Zilla yeah but ghidorah even in the monsterverse adaptation has the ability to terraform a planet with just him flapping his wings he can create storms larger than anything rayquaza can form. Honestly if we see it in a alpha system ghidorah is larger stronger faster and most likely more intelligent so putting it up against a creature that listens to a ten year old is a no brainer.
