The only downside of making a Foxbody-focused RUclips channel is the fact its a niche topic. Thankfully its a relatively popular car. If LMR can get over 100k subscribers, I think you can as well. Keep up the great work. The best thing about a Foxbody is the community and you keep it alive. Thank you.

I noticed brew2L kept trying to correct himself at the terminology of the pieces on these door panels. Since most often people that don’t know usually get the correct nomenclature wrong. So, just if anybody is curious here’s the correct names of everything as a trim & upholstery person would refer to them.
The large scale of interior panels or pieces are called “trim panel” or their named after their function or mounting location.
    1. The staples are 1/8” - 3/16” - 1/4” depending on the thickness of materials they need to go through.
    2. Metal at the top is the “border plate”or “top plate”.
    3. Any center piece within the panel is the “insert” or “appearance panel” usually fastened with staples or aluminum tabs or adhesive.
    4. The cardboard piece is “trim paneling” or “panel board” usually 1/16” - 1/8” - 3/16”.
    5. Top black material is the “border” or “top cover” usually fastened with adhesive, staples or crimped.
    6. The leather is either “accent” or “main” usually cloth, vinyl, leather, valure, pleather (plastic imitation leather) or actual plastic.
    7. The bottom piece is the “valence” or “lower border”.
    8. The thin strips sewn to the edges of the carpet or vinyl are the “binding” or “rope cord”.
    9. Handles are handles.
    10. Pockets at bottom of the panels are “accessory pockets” or “lower/upper pockets”.
    11. Top seal is the “window trim seal” or “upper seal”.
The some of these names are included on the dash.
    1. “Upper facia”, “lower facia”.
    2. “Appearance cover” or “emblem”.
    3. Dash is a “dash pad”.
    4. Lower dash parts are “lower valance” or “lower dash panel”.
    5. Panels at your feet are “kick panels”.
    6. Rear quarter pieces are “quarter panel” and center pieces are “quarter panel insert”.
    7. Triangle shaped panels by rear glass are “sail panels”.
    8. Roof panel is “headliner” go figure right!
    9. Rear dash is the “package tray”.
    10. Any padding behind a panel or under your carpet is referred to as “juke padding” or “sound reduction”.
    11. Any foam padding behind any panel is referred to as “scrim foam”.
    12. Appearance covers at the bottom of the door on the carpet are “sill plate”.
    13. Front, middle or rear vertical trim pieces named after the points their mounted to, “A pillar trim”, “B pillar trim” & “C pillar trim”.
    14. All trim that holds up or mounts the headliner is “headliner trim”.
    15. Lighting at the sides above or at shoulder height are “dome lights” or if individual switches are used “map lights”.
Usually all trunk panels are “trunk lining” or just referred to as “trim panel” usually named after their mounting location or function.

House of Dula video was a great help to me doing mine. Don't forget the lock grommet when removing the vinyl. I did my rivets with the heads on the backer board side and used rivets with the big heads. The hold the backer really well. Map pocket panels are MUCH easier than carpeted! Great looking job!

Use the aluminum backup washers on those blind rivets so you get some support on backside of that soft board. Hanging right next to the rivets you grabbed at the store. You’ll get proper squish and hold much tighter over time 👍🏼

What I really like about this is... you show how easy (Even if its time consuming) it is to pull that apart.. you could always go back with leather on the door panel and glue and staple that on there if you wanted to spend a little more and do something custom. VERY nice step by step!

I like doing all my own work that I can, putting myself into my restore of the vehicle I'm working on, to have the pride knowing it was my hands that restored my vehicle. Can U tell me please the kit to order for redoing the door panels (mine will be different, being it's a convertible, and black interior) and who U ordered the kit from i.e. the boarding, window wiper, glue, rivets, colored spray to refinish? Probably already stated, I just wanna verify I order everything needed correctly, Thanks for the tutorial.
