A few decades of Pink Floyd and solo David Gilmour makes a great bassist... Check out his channel, called simply Guy Pratt. You're in for a shock when you find just how many top smash hits he's done.
Right? It never really popped out at me until watching this video. That bass line is sick. EDIT: Nevermind, went back to studio version... This dude is definitely adding more groove to the original.
Balsam for my soul. It's Rock n' Roll and elegance combined. I have to listen to it several times in a row. It can't be more perfect. His voice is influenced by Elvis Presley for sure. He's a combination of Elvis and James Bond in a very sophisticated way. He's awesome.
Don't Stop the Dance Mama says truth is all that matters Lying and deceiving is a sin Drifting through a world torn and tattered Every thought I have don't mean a thing Don't stop, don't stop the dance Don't, more music, stop the dance Mama says love is all that matters Beauty should be deeper than the skin Living for the moment, lips and lashes Will I ever find my way again Don't stop, don't stop the dance Mama says love is stormy weather Don't know why there's no sun in the sky Footsteps in the dark come together Gotta keep on moving or I'll die Don't stop, don't stop the dance Don't, more music, don't stop the dance Don't stop, don't stop the dance Don't, more music, don't stop the dance Don't stop, don't stop the dance
I was born in 1963. In the late 70s and early 80s I was exposed to some forgettable music. But Roxy Music's sound was as great then as it is now as I view these digital images and take in the digital sound. I still spin this stuff, along with Japan, The Smiths, New Order, Joy Division, The Clash, Billy Bragg, and a few others. These bands had something to say. And what they had to say so many years ago still has some resonance today. Thanks for posting this great live performance.
Let us pay our respects to the poor Millenials, for they will one day define 'great music' by the soulless sounds of Drake, Maroon 5 and Doja Cat and many many more.
Afater 13 years of this show, here we are in 2020 because Brian dont stop the dance! One greatest song ever! Amazing live performance! Amazing 80's. Regards from Brazil.

You see children, there are people who can actually sing live and has real talent. Not some of the rubbish that passes for music these days.
Great song, great singer, great musicians!
One of the biggest hits by Bryan Ferry, amazing live performance
If stranded on a deserted island and I only had one song to listen to forever this would be the one.

Don't Stop the Dance
Mama says truth is all that matters
Lying and deceiving is a sin
Drifting through a world torn and tattered
Every thought I have don't mean a thing
Don't stop, don't stop the dance
Don't, more music, stop the dance
Mama says love is all that matters
Beauty should be deeper than the skin
Living for the moment, lips and lashes
Will I ever find my way again
Don't stop, don't stop the dance
Mama says love is stormy weather
Don't know why there's no sun in the sky
Footsteps in the dark come together
Gotta keep on moving or I'll die
Don't stop, don't stop the dance
Don't, more music, don't stop the dance
Don't stop, don't stop the dance
Don't, more music, don't stop the dance
Don't stop, don't stop the dance

Who is that young man playing the guitar? he looks so, so young like my drummer he is 12
Norma Di Pardo The young guitarist is Oliver Thompson, who started touring with Bryan Ferry and Roxy Music in 2005, at the age of 17.
Robert Theflyinhawaiian Cool :-)
I don't believe he's related to the great Paul Thompson.
He played with Ferry's son in their own band prior to this
Great music.
It's a shame that Ferry doesn't have a great voice, his voice is weak and low register
