  • If you step into a Bass Pro you'll find an entire wall of different jig heads.
How do you know which ones to choose?
It can be overwhelming, especially if you don't know what you're looking for, so I made this video to give you a better knowledge of the different types of jig heads and when you should use them.
In particular, I covered jig head shape and eye placement, which are two of the most popular things we get asked about when it comes to choosing a jig head.
    You'll learn:
Which type of jig head you should use if you're retrieving your lure really slowly on the bottom
Which type of jig head is best for vertical jigging
Which type of jig head I would choose if I had to pick just one
    And much more
Have any questions about choosing jig heads?

I inherited from my late father some very good in shape old lures with those dual eye placements, thank you for the great informative videos.

For me I generally would say the eye placement is based on the depth your fishing. Shallow water is better for 45 degree eyes generally where a 90 is great for deeper water. With that being said I personally don’t see a big issue either way.

What’s a good base to start on from 1’ of water to 6’ on determining the weight of jig head? Deeper water the more weight?

Depends what zone you’re trying to fish. Different fish have different strike zones.
