Love these kind of comparison test. Always good to see the simplex do well. Good that people who carnt or don’t won’t to spend to much on a detector can get out and find deep and old items just like the more expensive detectors. Great vid Lori
A great video Lori, and interesting results indeed. I’ve a Simplex and am learning the tones and ids so well now 7 months nearly, I never ever notch out iron as I want to hear it. I feel like I’m the only one in my group with a single frequency but I’ve had some fantastic coins and have done well since I started. I’m still new and learning and love your videos and channel you’ve been so much help and it’s much appreciated. Brilliant channel great videos and great work 👍🏻👍🏻
Hi Lori, I sure like your RUclips videos but have not seen any new ones.… The information you provide is great last year. I purchased my Simplex last fall and now that it is getting warmer I am planning to hit the fields and sand. Keep it going, Bob
Interesting for sure, I am amazed at how well the Simplex did and a little bit disappointed with the Legend however, knowing the machine well is key. Maybe with time you'll have to do another comparison. Thanks for the video, thanks for your honesty! Garnet
Good video Lori. I use the 600 & it should give you a “ clipped “ signal on iron. It is no good finding the tiny spot it hits it at in one direction. Basically if you get a signal, work it in a circle, if it’s a rubbish signal it will clip it & you either get that clip ( is sounds like a spitting sound ) or it won’t hit it at all. Any good signal you will get hits from any direction working in the circle. Good video & I appreciate your time spent making it. 😘
Absolutely, could not agree more. My husband uses the 800 and when he saw the video, the first thing he said was that he wouldn’t dig any of the 3 signals, only the good one (the zipper pull). I hold up my hands and admit that I do not know the machines well, other than the simplex. And in the field I am a lot more picky about digging holes, finding the horses in the field scuppered my plans and limited options for signals! 😆 But, I’m so glad for your advice for 600 users. The more we can teach others, the better we can all enjoy our hobby! And your advice will help me too, when I actually use that machine. Thank you!
Hi Lori, you may (or not) remember me but we chatted some months ago about the Simplex. At long last, I've just bought one and will be using your excellent vids as my 'go to' for reference. Any basic tips would be truly most welcome!
I liked the simplex plus I had for a few months. I sold it because the sounds are annoying to me. If they changed the tones that machine would be great imo
I have been Metal Detecting since 2005, but unfortunately due to health, I haven't been able to detect for about 4-5 years now. My last Detectors were all high end but I sold them (my Whites V3i was my favorite with my XP Deus being a very close 2nd, especially with it being so light and my health being bad). That being said, this Spring and Summer I am going to get back into the hobby and was wondering if ill be happy with a Simplex+ (these came out AFTER I stopped Detecting, so never used one), or should I just bite the bullet and buy a Equinox 600? I definitely don't think I'll need a 800, at least not right now. I definitely like the 2 waterproof options tho
I installed 2.78 and didn`t like it , it seemed a lot more erratic and scratchy. I went back to 2.77 and its fine again but Nokta Makro have taken 2.77 off the website.
Hello I just got a simplex. I’m a little worried mine isn’t working 100% right. It seems like when I do a depth (air) test for things like Pennie’s it only goes about 4 inches before I get a very distorted beep that I would never dig. Is that bad? It seems like it should work better than that
Hi lori please could you help me out I really need a link/file for the simplex 2.77 as I can't find it anywhere online, any help would be appreciated thanks in advance
hello, I'm new, how many hours do I have to put the simpelx to charge, every time the battery runs out? and are there external bars for the simpex? Thanks in advance.
What’s your opinion on the simplex vs legend? My girlfriend wants a detector, so thinking about getting the legend. Are there noticeable differences in the two?
@@beepdigsplosh I’m pretty good with the simplex, but I was thinking about the legend for myself. I could go with another synplex, but is the legend worth a few dollars more?
@@jonathanmiller8977 yes Defiantly the ferrocheck is superb and machine has much nicer tones having more adjustments you can set it up to whatever ground your hunting on
very interesting to see the simplex screaming out 04 iron no ifs no buts it said its iron and thats what it was while the rest humd and hawd saying its iron but it could be something else but in the end got fooled by the circle of metal ...
I think it must be the video being a flipped image? Only the Simplex has more than one coil to be taken on and off, and I’ve checked the video- it is on correctly. Maybe you saw the bit of film I had to flip because of perspective. I promise it was on the right way around the whole time . How are you doing these days, Tim? :)
