- "And that is as invisible an increase as you will ever get - knit into the stitch below from the back."
- Elizabeth Zimmermann
I've tried this increase and, as a continental knitter, it's my new favorite! It's one movement instead of two that would be required for the Make One, and it's just as invisible.
Enjoy!! Хобби
Elizabeth Zimmerman was a knitting genius! Thanks Liat
I love that contributors like you keep elevating the art of knitting into a fine art rather than the crafty image some people hold of it. Thanx for years of helping me refine my knitted items, every time you go away I miss you and I wish you healing and blessings. The best thing we can do is forgive each other for perpetrations we experienced and we ourselves hurled at each other. Being human is a most difficult experience for us all, each in our own challenges and psychological and spiritual growth. Blessings to everyone and everything everywhere!
Thank you so much Barbara!!
The mother of all knitters ❤. There will never be another Elizabeth ❤❤❤❤
Thank you for sharing that stitch. I can't wait to try it.
Thank you very much! Love your tutorials.
Thank you so much Elizabeth!! Don't keep us a secret - be sure to tell your knitting friends about us!
Can this increase be used when working the toe for a toe up sock?
Yes absolutely!
Can this be used for a toe up sock wedge toe?
Absolutely! I'm going to use it on my next toe-up sock.
does this increase lean more left or more right, or is it more or less neutral and can be used anywhere??
It's pretty neutral! I used it to increase after the ribbing for a hat, and you basically can't see it at all 😍
@@Knitfreedom This is NOT the inc to be used on the BSJ??
@@Marny5580 Hi Marny I don't have the BSJ pattern but you'll definitely need to check what increase she specifies there. Some increases use up one stitch (like KFB) and some don't (like this one) so the stitch count will be off if you substitute one kind of increase for the other. If you have the pattern you can email it to me at happiness@knitfreedom.com and I can advise you. Cheers!
