This is a pc monitor for people with gpus like the rtx 3090, no one cares about hdmi 2.1. All it needs is a port to plug in the Switch which it does. @@reijhinru1474 G sync requires displayport. It's a pc monitor not for consoles, hdmi is a tv and console connection, pc has it's own connection, displayport. If you own a pc and have a monitor you use displayport. Displayport 1.4 is all this monitor needs run at it's full capabilities.
Perfect for me since the hdmi 2.1 isn’t a deal breaker. Console games are not quite ready to output a true 4K 120HZ signal right now. The HDR and accurate colors are exactly what I want in a gaming monitor and this monitor touches that and then some.

The only way to get the higher refresh is by compressing the living daylights out of it and cramming it through DP1.4. This monitor made sense 2 years ago when you first announced it, it no longer makes any sense. GSync no longer makes sense until DP2.0 becomes a thing people are using.

How is it that the iPad Pro has more zones (2500) in less space, higher peak brightness (1600 nits) and cost almost 1/3 at $1200 with a full computer attached. Waiting for the next gen (again)...
The iPad is a very cheap mobile computer. The cost is in the display, and the display is smaller. Also, this is 10bit panel with 144hz and a g-sync hardware model, and this monitor does actually peak at 1600 nits unofficially. The DisplayHDR 1400 is the certification.

1152 local dimming zones are half of what Samsung Odyssey Neo G9 has, and it also has only 144HZ while G9 has 240HZ plus this costs almost double what the Neo G9 costs!!!

No HDMI 2.1. No DP 2.0 Those specs need more bandwidth than hdmi 2 and dp 1.4.. They sell that because when they release tha same monitor with hdmi 2.1 will promote it as a "feature" with higher price.
While yes, dp 1.4 with dsc can do 4k120 and 10-bit colours. But it's very dumb not to include hdmi 2.1, ppl will surely want to use this with consoles too but those who do will probably look for upcoming 42" oleds.
