Drawing Comic Art - Inking and Coloring Over a Rough Sketch

- In this video I practice inking over a rough sketch to improve my speed. I love drawing comic art but sometimes it just takes me too long to complete. This exercise is to help overcome that. Digital art has so many tools for editing that I find it to be much easier to accomplish this process. In this video I talk about some of the things that I faced when completing this fan art of Superior Spider-man.
I am using the app Procreate on the iPad Pro with the Apple Pencil. This artwork took me 12 hours and 42 Minutes to complete. You get to watch it in 8 minutes. ;)
I hope you enjoy the work and if you want to learn how I draw my comic art step by step, you can view my classes on Skillshare or my Gumroad with the links below.

Your artwork is truly extraordinary. You should really consider working for Marvel DC, or even Image company with your talent.

@@zorrunamenteinefables5702 oops!😅
Please I have a question if I want to make a portrait of someone and I want to transform his face to comic face. Can you show me how do you make a comic portrait of someone? Like the Basketball superstar of Minnesota Timberwolves Anthony Edwards? Thanks ❤
i wonder why you not working with DC or Marvel yet. Greetings from Brazil
Hi.. Rob, great job, your a h#ll of a teacher, but I can't do that living in a van down by the river,so I pass, great video.. bye'eeee..
Actually if you think about it comics artist only pencil, they have other people to ink and color so if you account for that , they can pump out around 25 pages every two weeks considering each stage takes 3 hours per sketch, ink, and color
Are you using autodesk sketchbook???
Yes, i wish I could also be faster at art. Especially digital
Clearly your work has progressed over time RM, and the digital thing you have tapped into is awesome. Keep on keepin' on!
Profesional vs. Amateur...
Amateur is a french word meaning "lover"... Speed over heart and soul? No, thanks. Art cannot make us become machines.
Always watch out for the smoking man in the grey suit.
Great video, btw
Damn, really awesome this art! Loved all the process, seems really helpful to you, to speed up your work!
I'm addicted to your procreate vids

Do you have any brushes for clipstudio paint? I love the brushes you are using for rendering
