Why would Germany have less development than France in the modern mod?
I dont get it either, Germany should have more Dev. I mean germany has a bigger Population and Economy then France, so I do not get it.
@@ThatBroadRectangle that's what I'm sayin, the Rhine, Bremen and Bavaria should have massive amounts of development. As a nation they should've had twice the development of France

This list is great, but I'm afraid you forgot MEIOU and Taxes. Even if it is incredibly hard to get into, it is still one of the, if not the greatest overhaul mod in EU4, just from the sheer amount of changes, complexity, and realism it brings to the table.
I totally agree but I understand the current versiom of MEIOU is not compatible with 1.30 otherwise yes.
I love meiou and taxes but it's not updated to 1.30 so it's not fit to be on this list since it's for mods compatible with 1.30

Been interested in some overhaul mods as the base game has gotten stale, certainly the new content update will be amazing but in the meantime some mods will rejuvenate the game, let's go!
1356 mod is great, there's plenty of possibilities you can take to change the game.
i've been playing M&T for 6 months straight, I'm getting bored of it thanks to the unfinished colonization even with submods, I might give 1356 and VN a shot
Lux in Tenebris, Beyond Typus and Die Gratia are three overhauls that should have been on this list, at the very least one of them should have. They are better developed and more indepth than many of the ones you included.
Cornwall Universalis mod is the best one. Literally just a map of Cornwall with 200 provinces for that true Cornwall experience.

Okay so this isn't real but god damnit this would be such a nice mod set in a time when Cornwall was independent and then have a event for the English invasion like the mongol invasion of CK2. Better an Arthurian mod that only focuses on the British isles set in Arthurian times and the Anglo Saxon invasions

@@LudietHistoria I discovered it while I was fooling around in ET and saw that the going back button worked still. And there he was. Sadly no further than 2, but it's not too bad. I think that there's still a Chalcedonist/Christian province though even if Jesus was a baby at the time.

Christianity besieged is a super cool overhaul mod I've been playing.
Another interesting mod, also uses the ET framework, is Code Geass. A bit overwhelming if you play any nation outside the main powerhouses, but it has a lot of interesting options.

Not really. It has a diffetent building system and missions and even a different dev map mode and such. Extended timeline is a jack of all trades but modern eu4 really is great at the modern part

Serbian culture is false in the first Overhaul modern mod (it is in whole Bosnia- which is very false) + Islamist religion in Herzegovina also pretty inaccurate, other than that no complaints.
My problem with imperium universalis is that it lags and crashes after around 100 years into the game.

the one thing that holds back modern world mods is eu4's combat system as it's hard to represent a modern multi level battle with just soldiers and boats
