I recently bought an easel from 5 below. It cost 5 dollars and I am so happy that I finally find the easel I can afford, it really helps to make better art.
Hello, I recently got some new brushes myself I bought in my country. I want synthetic and they work as expected. I prefer brushes with thick barrel due my carpal tunnel
Not a gouache person yet-but the brushes do look comfortable. So how do you spell this truly adorable little animal-now I have to find a stuffed one. Seems the perfect hing to hug when a person is feeling down. I love your videos-they make me happy!
I actually asked Sarah Burns about these brushes the first time I saw her using them; I liked them too. So pleased to see your review and cute painting!
I bought these brushes because of Sarah Burns too. I really like them. I go back and forth between watercolor and gouache. Right now I am doing a lot of watercolor with my Silver Black Velvet and soon I will go back to gouache and use these brushes again. Thank you for the super video as always.
Thanks so much for sharing these with us, Maggie, my beloved Princeton Select Brushes, as sad as it is, they need to be replaced now because their coating is so weak, they crumble apart, glued them and fixed them but they keep breaking. I love Silver Black Velvet brushes so I am trusting this brand by default but thanks to your review and high res close up footage I decided I need them! Gotta admit I never heard about Quokkas before and had to google and they really look as happy as in your paintings, what an adorable cute little fella, I can’t!
Aren’t they just so happy and funny? I love painting them 🤗🤗You will enjoy these brushes, and I’m glad they’re on sale. I agree on the Princeton select brushes! Sad but when they are working they’re great. Same thing happens to me with my Royal and Langnickle brushes. They are good for acrylic but the glue holding it together is so weak they just fall apart far too quickly.
@@CreatingCuteArt It’s not just that the tip comes off but also the plastic coating, idk how many times I had to edit out the crumbles on the paper 😆 The bristles are awesome though! Interestingly, my Royal & Langnickel Brushes never break on me, though the bristles are pretty damaged, but since they are cheap and lasted for a long time, I don’t complain ;) Hope I can grab the Silver brushes. Btw, how do they compare to the Natasha Newton brushes (forgot the name 🤣 but you know what I am talking about)?
@@MoniDmajor they’re very different! The Chelsea Paper Co brushes are watercolor brushes for sure. These are feeling like they’re made for gouache (and I want to get a backup set for trying with acrylic)!
Such a cute painting! I absolutely love how cheerful your voice is when you do your voice overs. Also I still want to get ahold of the silver watercolor brush. But these look great too when I start getting more into gauche.
The watercolor brushes from them are truly phenomenal. This set is so affordable right now, I'm this close to getting a backup lol! Thank you for the sweet comment, you're always so nice!! ❤️❤️❤️
I am always wanting to try new brushes, especially for gouache... it's such a balance between being soft and able to handle lots of paint and also stiff enough to mix and remix paints. These honestly look perfect! I love your painting today too, so stinking cute!!
That’s literally EXACTLY what I struggled with brushes for gouache over, perfectly put Willow! And these definitely handled it for me! So glad you like the quokka 🤗🤩❤️💕
Princeton neptune is a good synthetic option too just got my first silver black velvet rest I've been using for years are Princeton neptune and Princeton elite

FYI, I've discovered "The Brush Guys" carries these open stock. I've been eyeing them there for quite a while & will buy them eventually. ;)
I think you'll love them! I'm so glad they're open stock, I might get one more of the large one to dedicate to acrylic!
Big fan of the Brush Guys here.
