1911's that double tap and don't lock back do not need breaking on - they need to be sent back to their manufacturers.

A 1911 is an insanely complicated peice of craftsmanship... but also, why would you do that kind of work when you dont have to? If you bought a brand new car that didnt work, would you fix it yourself, or make GM fix it?

What happened? Make and model?? Curious minds want to know. Sure is a bummer when a brand new purchase is wonky though, sorry.

Dan Wesson Guardian - first 100 shots at the range. Double fired over 5 times and slide failed to lock back constantly (both captured in this video). Send back nearly two weeks ago and I have still not heard anything since...not good.

@@AZTrigger Some people think you double-tapped on accident, but I couldn't see it. Would probably require slow motion anyways. I'm sure it's unlikely that it happened that many times and you didn't pick up on that though (if that was the case). I've never heard of any Dan Wesson 1911 not being safe... but they do work pretty hard to get the guns right to the edge where they have the best trigger possible without being unsafe.

Bad grip can't be blamed for double firing. Even if it was caused by bad grip, then there's still something wrong with it, because it shouldn't double-fire for any reason, ever. (unless he double-tapped on accident like someone else said he did.. so I could be wrong).

Until the ATF kicks in your door for having a "full-auto". lol. Joking aside, they really did that to a person with an AR-15 once. He bought an old, worn out AR that burst fired on him once at the range. He replaced the bad parts immediately and it functioned normally after that... but it didn't matter. They charged him anyways.

@@AZTrigger Double-fired or double tapped? (two different things). Double-fire means the gun fired twice with only one trigger pull... and double tap would mean you actually pulled the trigger twice. If the gun cycles faster than others and it was a double-tap, then it could be just that your other guns don't double fire when you double tap, because they're just too slow. I think you can slow the action down with a heavier recoil spring... but if you are double-tapping, the real fix would be to stop doing that, because it's dangerous.
