Dude... He never shot any people... I think you watched the movie... Thats not true what they're telling us... He never shot anyone... And don't try to tell me something that he did that... If you will you can go back to the conversation with Susie Q
You‘re probably really trash... 1. Murdoch never killed anyone 2. Why to you think Rommel killed himself? Because if he would not do that, his family would get killed. And that all just happend because Mr. H noticed that Rommel tries to get Mr. H killed.
@Johnny Smith - That is movie BS strictly for drama. Testimony said one officer fired a shot along the side of the ship to deter people from charging the boats but no passenger was ever shot as far as is known. Also, it was testified that Murdoch was not the one who fired the shot nor did he shoot himself. 2nd Officer Lightholler testified that Murdoch drowned when the ship went down and he stood his post as long as he could. In fact, Cameron had to apologize to Murdoch's family (he had no children) for putting that in the movie. He used Murdoch's character simply because he was prominent in the story and the audience could identify with him. In fact, Murdoch filled the boats without concern for sex, age or social status and as a result saved a good number more than the other officers. Try reading some real history and not believing movies BS. Actually, because Captain Smith was retiring, they replaced Chief Officer Murdoch who was a Scot, with an Englishman, Wilde, because they didn't want someone non English as captain of their star ship. As a result, every officer moved down a notch, Murdoch to First Officer from Chief Officer and the bottom officer, the supply officer left the ship and forgot to leave the binoculars. As a result the lookouts had no binoculars to see the iceberg. That was not Murdoch's fault but a result of his crew level being changed, a stupid thing to do.
@The Wild - First, you can't even spell but you're lecturing me? "Your"? Try "you're". Instantly, that tells me volumes. That part of the movie was crap, far from "legit". I'm 71 and have studied Titanic for almost 60 years having had two survivors as neighbors when I was a kid. I even have an original book printed in 1912 of the enquiry. Do you believe everything in movies? Try some Disney cartoons. You might enjoy them immensely. Just don't believe them. Cheers.
@The Wild - You are an ignorant moron and just want to argue for no rational reason. I will not get embroiled in your stupidity. Did you actually READ anything I said little boy? It is all fact. I know more about Titanic...and FIRST HAND from two survivors..... than you will ever know. Go read a book on the topic. I've read dozens. You made an incorrect claim and can provide no proof so shut up. Besides, it's past your bedtime. No further responses will be made to your nonsense. Bye.
I am writing a song which will honor Mr. Murdoch and will be the second movement of my "Suite for Titanic" - from the testimony of those who got on the boats, William McMaster Murdoch was a brave man to the end, a fine officer and a tribute to White Star, and the long lineage of those who go to sea........... Could you tell me please what the name of the piece is that you used for background in your video? With Kindest Regards, Cynthia
@The Wild - Glad you noticed. I meant to be. You're very boring , annoying, repetitive and stupid. How old are you ? Ten? You keep repeating the same nonsense from a movie. Cheers lovie. :) PS - It should be "you're", not "your".
@The Wild Why are you everywhere? Irl he didn't shoot anyone, and even if he did in the movie, he still saved hundreds. Plus he felt guilty so he shot himself.

Me either but the first officer of the Costa Concordia I believe was a hero just like Murdoch. They said he escaped with Schettino but I think he tried to save as many lives as he could
Murdoch would have been promoted to captain if it wasn't for the Titanic disaster. He had no desire to survive by taking charge of the last lifeboat, unlike Lightoller.
HJP1 HJP2 - Actually, Murdoch was demoted from Chief Officer to First Officer and replaced by Wilde because they didn't want a Scot (non English) as captain of their celebrated ship. As a result of that bone head move, every officer went down a notch and the supply officer left the ship and forgot to leave the binoculars so the lookouts had no way of seeing the iceberg sooner.
@The Wild -You again? You are wrong. No passenger was shot and it was likely Lowe who fired a shot down the side of the ship to deter people from rushing the boats. Feel free to f**k off. :)
Tell me you don’t literally anything about Lightoller without telling me you don’t anything about Lightoller Lightoller literally disobeyed Henry Wilde’s order for him to get into a lifeboat
So glad to have watched this.

He puts a true sense of responsibility nd an example of a true seaman
A lovely video of Murdoch’s home.
A great man and a true seaman. I named one of my Scottish Terriers after him.
