People keep overlooking that Gravenberch has been at the biggest club in Holland, the biggest club in Germany and now has clocked 226 games. He has already won four league titles and starts for Holland. Gravenberch is more ready than anyone realizes. Liverpool have two players for every position and benched FOUR international captains and a World Cup winner to beat an EPL team 5-1. There is more going on than needing a 6. The biggest problem Liverpool had for 3 years was the injury levels and injury-prone players. So far, Slot has had the full squad minus Elliott available to him. Having Klopp's gegenpressen squad finally playing with less intensity may shock a few rival fans when they realize they are playing first-teamers more often. Keeping players out of the treatment room is the key.
Unfortunately common sense like this is lost on most football fans. The injuries the last few years have been our biggest killer. As soon as we ever had a full team back, BANG, another two or three out for weeks with muscle injuries. I love Klopp but deep down inside I was starting to get tired of his set up. Chronically there or there abouts without going all the way
As a Liverpool fan, I think the next 2 month will test Arne Slot real well and l think from those games it would be good to judge his first start in 24/25
As a Liverpool fan, I am not that bothered yet. I think we have beaten teams which we should beat other than Nottingham Forest, which was disappointing. I want to see Slot and how he handles in-game when we play the bigger caliber teams in the Premier League and in Europe. We did well against AC Milan after conceding in like the first minute, but I am liking the defensive solidity we have at the moment.
There's no such a thing as we beat teams we should be beating. Everyone loses against these so-called smaller teams. Arsenal were very lucky against Villa. Watkins missed 2 sitters. Also, they seem to depend too much on Gabriel corner kick headers. I think Liverpool finishes above Arsenal
@karlmatuke5229 umm I am pretty sure you would expect us to beat some of the teams that we faced so far. Again there are some good wins in there against the likes of Manchester United and AC Milan in the Champions League, but we still haven't faced any of the teams in and around us
@@karlmatuke522991 goals last season, most clean sheets, best defence in the league. We rely on the whole team mate. It’s 5 games in and Gabriel scored 2 so far? And were great at set pieces 🤷🏾♂️

Liverpool’s schedule coming up is insane. Chelsea, CL, Arsenal, Brighton twice, CL, Villa. City, Madrid, Newcastle. So let’s see how that is handled. Definitely an interesting time coming up. They look excellent though. Bigger tests to come.
Spuds had a good start last season with their new manager Bounce and that went downhill sharpish. Wait till Jan and see where they are at when the league get to know slot, like they got to know Ange
the issue in going for the title is one of 2 simple factors, the manager not being ready or the squad depth. Slot has come from holland and to beat pep arguably the best manager ever isn’t easy of course, then there’s the squad depth side to it, in terms of first 11 there’s an argument we have the best team but as soon as one player is injured the backup isn’t great apart from in the frontline. Quansah is third choice cb, endo and curtis are the 2 backups for midfield then tsimikas is backup if robertson gets injured again like last season. If we can keep our first 13/14 players fit we could get close to a title but that’s not likely, also if pep has a few things go his way then it’s very unlikely his team don’t hit 90 points
If you have can one bad day out of 30 it's not too bad we can take few losses here and there But we just don't want draws and forest have been amazing this year one of the best defensive teams in the league
Only thing that concerns me about my Liverpool is there is still those issues from last season and no surprise, the same squad from last season. The issues for me is it's still not well machined in attacks ...beautiful attacks are ended with over exuberant attempts ...SALAH. The ice cool and lack of football intelligence in the final third is still a problem. They also tend to resort to frantic football once the clocks ticking down and pressure is on, from losing. I mean AC milan were garbage, so that hasn't given me that much confidence. When it looks more accomplished and polished, i would be more confident of a title. Like we saw in that 2019 team, it was a machine. Defensively good with 1-0 wins, midfield energetic, young and powerful. The front three with Sadio, Bobby and Salah was close to perfection.
As a Liverpool fan it is too early to tell yet but based on what I’ve seen of Arsenal and City I don’t think we are as strong and once the games come thick and fast I don’t know if we have enough quality in midfield to continually rotate and keep winning but I hope I’m wrong there
We're definitely better than arsenal in the long run. Remember aesenal have spend so much. Liverpool haven't spend anything so far, and now they'll start spending and it'll be city and liverpool again going toe to toe
My concern for Liverpool is that any injury could hurt them badly. I’m not sure they have depth, and they’d depend on Slot to utilize the Youngins as well as Klopp did.
What is this agenda against Liverpool, its always a negative what if when it comes to rivals talking about us. I remember last season people said the way we played was unsustainable from the start of the season, then we went on to play the same way until about 4 games to the end of the season.
We played our 2nd team against west ham minus Jota and it looked like a starting 11. This Liverpool squad thing is getting down played by arsenal fans only. But keep doing it we like to go under the radar. Ye had to play a 16 year old in goals the other night while we had Kelleher who helped us win the prem, CL and many other cups. And thats just the goal keeper. Keep underrating you clown of a football club that thing you are high and mighty because you got two 2nd place finishes with no cups. Liverpool even had a better season than ye lot last year and them having a famine of injuries.
Didn't they spank Arsenal in the pre season with Elliot and Carvalho ?😂 United too and re did it at the Old Toilet ? Convincing 3-0 ... The City games are the biggest litmus tests , the rest are just wash, rinse and repeat ...Routine teams
Too much hype with Slot. Only team in form we played we lost to. Bournemouth had almost equal possession and 6 shots on target. Wait until injuries kick in properly and we face decent in form sides. If we beat Arsenal and Real Madrid then maybe I might start thinking he is decent.
Arsenal fans surely will not believe in any new manager winning the first season. Can't blame them when they have Arteta not winning for 6 seasons. Liverpool may end up above Arsenal, looking at the way Arsenal playing this season.
Another thing as a Liverpool fan, we dont have great depth. Especially in the midfield. We have no specialist defensive midfielder to begin with other than Wataru Endo. We have been crying out for a great defensive midfielder in the last 3 seasons. And the quality drop off from Alexis MacAllister and Ryan Gravenberch to our bench players is a bit concerning if one or both gets injured.
I'd argue we have 2 very good players in literally every single position barring Tsimikas who is still decent going forward. We definitely still need a better out and out DM than Endo but so does everyone else barring city and very few of them seem to be worth the going rate of 80-100m. I'm glad we didn't get Zubimendi and I hope we don't get him in January, he's not super physical and I don't think he's that much of an upgrade (if at all) on Mac and Grav.

We have the best forward like options in the league, but we are putting much on the shoulders of Gravenberch in the midfield. Their defence is inarguably better too.
