Thank you so much for this! Husband is out of town, and I really didn’t want to have to wait for him to come home to fix it. My new part looked slightly different, and I installed it backwards originally. Thinking the part just didn’t work, I read some comments, tried again, realized I installed wrong, fixed it and now it’s currently running great! Thanks for such a clear video

You make it look easy. Lol. I use to struggle with the glass door afraid to brake it. I use a bigger stronger tape to hold it closed than black electrical tape. Great video .

Your video is a life saver!!! Only thing I was worried about is I had clamps in the front that you didn't seem to struggle with and I guess I bought my washer when they first came out or something because my part was square, not rectangle=part dc34-00025A, but was replaced with dc34-00025E.

@appliancevideo After hours of looking on RUclips for videos on a fix for my washer , this is the closest video to my issue and the most similar to my Samsung top load washer. I had a similar thread of thought after watching many videos and thought it was likely the control (main) board that needed to be replaced, so I ordered it , replaced it , and nothing , still won’t turn on , the same 2 little green lights that would turn on the original main board , turn on the replacement board. I then thought I might be the jog module so I replaced it and nothing , what else could it be that is causing not to turn on at all??? Any thoughts would be appreciated

Very good video. I would love to see a video on how to replace the top cover for this model or a similar Samsung model washer. Mine has become rusted out and needs replacing. Or optionally, I would love to see how you would remove the lid on this model. I cannot figure out how to take the lid off of this model. Thanks

I replaced a lid on a previous washer and I won't do that again. It was about a third the cost of a replacement washer and the washer didn't last more than a year after that. Once this washer bits the dust I'm buying a Speed Queen to go with my Speed Queen dryer. Only brand that lasts more than 5-7 years!

@@susanarcher9589 I repair appliances and if you get one these days that last more than 7 years, let me know. I remember when they lasted 20 years with maybe one repair, throw away now like tv's, even the parts are getting discontinued or so pricey, it's cheaper to buy a new one but you're right about replacing the lid, get a new one.

@@tjcombo1936 we managed to glue it all back together and let it sit for 24 hrs before touching it again. I discovered they put toys in the lock area then pushed down on the lid to cram the toy further down into it and it snapped the plastic. Haven't had a problem with it since thankfully.

you have to lift the back of the top up and the front at the same time. So it is level when it goes up, then you push the entire thing toward the front of the machine.

I just did that exact fix but it still doesn't work. The old lock was very dirty and I figured it was bad. 50 bucks later the new lock does exactly the same thing. When I push start it dings a double ding and doesnt lock the door. When the problem first started we could turn the power off then back on a couple of times and the lid would lock and start the cycle but nothing works now.

Okay. The new lid switch has a hall-effect sensor incorporated. That means that the switch has to sense metal in order for the machine logic to function. In other words, have the new part completely installed and mounted in place before attempting to test or use.
