Honestly, I think my absolute favorite is printable templates ^^ You make such amazing ones, and they're so easy to size exactly to how big a scale you want!! But I love seeing the review, and the 1:6 Ulta products are really nice-- especially with how many actually open!!!! And have things inside!!!!
"And we kinda did it" is my motto for making anything Miniverse. I'm good at some of them, but any of the cakes that require actual frosting always look a little less than professional. Still, I think they're fun, and my dolls don't mind if their props don't look exactly like the picture.
For mini makeup, my preference is going to stay with the classic craft supplies and paints 😊 Less messy and costs less than the capsules for my budget ✨💖✨

I like the design of the makeup capsules and it’s the only reason I’d want one! I hope people pay attention to them saying, “use within ONE WEEK”. That was a great ULTA capsule! I only got 1 scale proper item in the ones I bought 😒 TFS!
You can easily pop out the metal cups out of the palette of the make it mini eyeshadows. You mix the eyeshadows and stamp the “m”. The secret is not to press hard. Then you place the cups back into the palette holder. (I place a drop of glue before placing them back) This will keep it nice and neat! It’s the perfect size for OMG and Rainbow High dolls. My daughter loves them and you can use what is left over from your old discarded makeup to make your personal palette. Needless to say, we got a lot of them for Xmas. 🤪

I don't know about eyeshadow--but that make it mini pallet is about the same size scale as a cream contour/concealer pallet I have. Maybe if you swap the colors and say it's blush or something it could work for 1/6 scale? The good thing about your craft foam hack is that you can switch it up so easily if you want it to fit a different theme!
I actually have a couple questions that MAYBE you can answer in the form of Doll DIYs. 1: Have you thought about the possibility of making doll hair extensions, weaves or anything hair related for dolls? Or at least those clip on hair accessories with the colored fake hair? Ya know, like the ones you often see in Claire's or dollar stores? 2: I know you hate tinsel in doll hair, BUT have you ever considered making an alternative for "Tinsel", like using metallic markers to color some strands of nylon/acrylic doll hair/yarn and rooting it into the doll's head? I think Sharpie metallic markers would help if possible, or at least experiment with different metallic or glitter markers for the "Shiny tinsel" effect WITHOUT the actual tinsel. 3: What about DIY eyeshadows with a glittery/metallic shine to them, that you can put on dolls? Like how you made removable make-up some videos ago. 4: WAX SEALS! You got a stamp, but what about doll sized wax stamps and waxes? I think some of these ideas has potential.
If you used a different pigment you could totally use that eyeshadow pallet as like a blush or contour pallet that would make the scale a little better
Thank you for this video! For me personally, after collecting quite a few different Mini Brands, I just can’t keep justifying the cost and waste for those capsules that are not 1/6 scale-or very close.. While some collections have one or more 1/6 items that I love, it is not enough to spend the money unless I absolutely have to have it. These days I pretty much stick the collections that Barbie can use as I do not collect any other dolls. I wish the company would offer different scales for each of the popular doll brands. 😊

Makes me wonder if making a shadow palette using black craft foam as the tray, and using a hole punch to press out the voids for the shadows, and putting other color craft foam of the same thickness in the voids using the same hole punch. Wrap it in a paperboard 'book cover', and you've got an eyeshadow palette.
The actual make up itself, is really not for me. However, I love the drawers that they come with. I do make up FX and some of my pallets are actually that size so it could work as a special effects makeup artist palette.
The eyeshadow palette could easily be a blush or highlighter palette for 1/6 scale. I love the details of the ulta mini brands but it’s too much of a gamble for the price on getting usable items for my dolls. If I had to choose one, it would be Ulta mini brands.

Thanks for sharing but the new mini brands makeup is not for my doll world but the shelf it comes with would look nice in your Lush Store. I like the Ulta because they do have ones that are perfectly fine for 1/6 scale.
I disagree about the size of that palette being a little big for dolls. I have some eyeshadow palettes in my collection right now that are that size (in comparison to me). Granted they have more than six shades in them, but I think you could make it work!

Great idea to use craft foam! If mixing the shadow and it's too dry you can add alcohol to it to wet it more and then press it into the mold.

mix the eye shadow dust with glue and stamp in the pans, you have permanent eye shadow for the dolls
