@Niteshade_ I once had a situation where I could play 5 gold seals, so it was worth it, and also, sometimes you don't get blue seals or telescope to go with your build, meaning the scaling difference is negligible.
I think you usually go 4of unless you're /really/ sure you can pull off the 5of, in which case Gold Seals and Lucky Cards can be compelling. Fibonacci, Wee Joker, Hack, any two of the three.

We have inflated Hand Size which helps with that greatly, and the Blue Seals are generally Held in Hand rather than played anyway. But, yeah, I've been burned by that before, too.
Nope! I've played casually at home with friends and family on a few rare occasions. Balatro is very much a deck-building game, which can be deeper than folks might expect.

Its pretty rare, if youre looking at being able to run it you probably have the strength for flush five anyways

Pluto specifically? I don't usually take Pluto on Gold Stake, preferring Pair and Two Pair which score enough more points to be strong frontrunners.
