Love your commentary and openness to explore new genres. There are a lot lot lot of us white folks who grew up poor in the “Trailerhood” LOL. We are no different than black folks who grew up in the city hood. Just a different location. Thank you brother for a Christian perspective and keep being diverse and reaching over the lines society is divided by. Regardless of our skin tone we are all God children and well, according to him we outta act like it! I live in SC and racial tension is sadly at an all time high. It starts with one. We need more people like you. Love it!
@@JanetLynnJJ Hi JT, this song came out while my husband was in the military...he gave 28 years to his country. Toby Keith has been a big supporter of our military. The line: "He's an American Soldier..an American" always made me cry. I was missing the hubs but so proud of him. I think you might have American Soldier confused with the Taliban Song. They're both great though. Thanks for responding! I'm so pleased MRM is growing in leaps and bounds. He has a lot of insight and wisdom, love his humor!
@@mimiof8 no...i didn't confuse them...i just didn't word my comment very well. I meant to say...American soldier isn't funny like this song...but i messed it up when trying to say that quickly. In fact...i only today heard the Taliban song. I don't like that one really...but i do like American soldier. I wrote a poem about being a warrior...because i really support our military, but also those fighting battles in their own lives.
@@JanetLynnJJ Yes, there are many battles and and supporters are so important!💕 I would love to read your poems. For all those you are supporting and helping....Thank you!
I think the dishes when he was still still with Willie Nelson for he for he quit you know a quick with Willie but I think this was before that oh you ever heard of My Name Is Earl
Just found this channel a few days ago , love it!!, I really appreciate when you talk about cultural differences and its Ok, we have them, I live in the country and we talk about town people.....like they are different haha, Speaking culture here's a title from youtube that may surprise a lot of people, I never knew, most probably heard the song , But? its a good watch, ' Midnight Special-Redbone "Come And Get Your Love"
Did you know that, this video that Toby did, was filmed in a true Trailer Park, with the locals who live in this Trailer Park????? They are call Mobile Homes now!! Great video!!! Thanks for listening to the video!
It sounds like Toby Keith may be a challenge, but he has some great songs. So, here goes... Weed with Willie, Beer for My Horses, and The Taliban song. They're all funny or have funny parts. Love watching your reactions. It didn't take me long to know I wanted to subscribe. Yeah... I'm a baby boomer. LOL
I learned something people tend to act better then one another if they are in opposing areas but that is till you look at it closer, I went from living in a trailer park to the inner city and I swear I saw the same archetypes of people in both but with different coats of paint
Toby Keith "Who's that man" good song and it's one of his older ones but I guess you could say it's about a father/husband who left or divorced and wife moved on
Dude have been listening for awhile, i just spoke on a Charlie kirk video of you man on FB i knew for a fact that i knew you..." wait i know that dude from some country reactions." god bless you brother...what mad you do it if i may ask? Glad you did though man.
Hello.toby has what he calls..bus songs. you always find them on the end of his CD"s, but not listed on it. You gotta do the taliban song and weed with Willie...and yep he's talking Willie Nelson.
That was so worth it! Thank you Sonya! (i think that's what you asked us to call you on live chat ☺) I loved that video...i totally forgot about that one.
" The preacher man say's it's the end of time and the Mississippi's river she's a going dry.... The interest is up and stock markets down and your getting mugged if you go downtown. I'm not much of a Country music enthusiast. But that Hank Williams Jr song " A Country Boy can survive" makes me wish I was born in the Appalchians rather than here in Silicon Valley California.
I think you’d like International Harvester by Craig Morgan. It’s about the struggle of being a farmer and all that comes with it. But it’s upbeat and has a good message. It’s fun.
Please listen to Toby Keith singing Does your Blue Moon Ever Shine On You (London UK) version in this clip he shares some history about the song. Its a beautiful song and he has a fantastic voice :-)
Do "Crash Here Tonight" by Toby Keith, it also features Heather Locklear in video before her demons took over her for a while now. Great song and video, shows more serious side of Toby.

Let me ask you a question, has this project changed your perspective or your views to the American Heartland or what is referred to as " the fly over states" as in flying from LA to New York. Gives us your opinion how has this project affected your personal views about certain aspects of our American culture you may or may not have been exposed to before. For me it was when I joined the Marine Corps as a young Mexican from East San Jose being exposed to then good Ol Boys was nothing short of a good expirence. And them Southern Blacks Staff NCO were the heart of the Marine Corps It was such a wonderful expirence and such an honor knowing that I was on their side. I felt so very proud that these people foreign to me as I was to them were my countrymen and women.
Toby does a lot of tongue in cheek songs but when he sings about our Military Warriors, it's total respect.
Toby Keith "How Do You Like Me Now"

The poem... 💗
The Warrior
One that regardless of volunteer or draft, does his duty in the midst of the adversary.
He marches on through the trenches of disaster, darkness, oppression and moves forward, in spite of fear.
That's right...
A Warrior is not fear-free, in fact he is often nearly consumed with fear.
However, he knows that dying is always a possibility when moving forward, but often a certainty when falling back, and giving into fear.
Warriors have seen the unspeakable.
They have often times considered horrendous acts in wartime situations, or actually have committed them.
Many Warriors have sacrificed their own well-being for the love and commitment to others, and because of that sacrifice suffer great physical, emotional, social and spiritual pain.
Almost all Warriors suffer from a sense of guilt, most of the time it is a false guilt--no more valid than survival itself.
Pain will be a constant reminder, daily, that the Warrior has fought, sustained and endured what others can only imagine.
They will carry this weight of pain with them, some-- until the day they die-- but walking forward, anyway, through the trenches.
Most Warriors do not view themselves as strong or brave in any way; in fact, it is likely that they see themselves as
average human beings that are simply doing what comes naturally to them-- supporting, responding, volunteering, fighting, serving, and surviving-- at a very instinctual and basic level, because that is who they are.
I've seen Warriors jump to action without a thought of their own preservation, without protective armor or provisions-- knowing full well the potential for consequence and injury-- all because someone else's potential for harm seemed justifiably necessary in that very moment, while simultaneously never disclosing or even hinting of the obstacles that they, the Warrior, had to endure just to ensure someone else's safety and worth...above, even, their own.
To most this will reflect a human being that has endured the physical and psychological world of warfare on a battlefield, wearing a helmet and slinging a gun...and they would be right.
As well, perhaps, a fireman, policeman, first responder, nurse, doctor, therapist, mother, father, sister, brother or friend...would also fit this description.
However...
This is also the description of our loved ones, selves, fellow men, women and children that fight an inward battle, day in...and day out...right inside their very common days.
Sometimes their battles are obvious and other times, nearly invisible.
This is the story of countless brave, immensely strong souls that we know and love-- that are fighting battles called: illness, trauma, disadvantage, discrimination, stigma, abuse, oppression, pain, impairment, abandonment, fear, and more...in this war called LIFE.
Today, I salute YOU, all my Warrior friends, my comrades in arms and hearts; for today and every day, YOU are commended, appreciated, encouraged, loved, and supported by ME-- and all those that join with me, in recognizing and validating your heroism today...and with every breath you take.
With United Love,
Your Friend
