    1-2 hours wsith the RevAir - what's your drying time with a traditional bonnet or hood dryer? I'm trying to be able to wash my locs more consistently without having to carve out 2+ hours for dryer time. I'm mid-back length with a profound fear of stinky wet loc smell.

      air drying is fine if you live in a sunny country, in the UK its cold as hell so I wash very rarely and just use rose water on my scalp. You will soon feel the weight of longer locs when washing !

      Air drying is better. I wash at noon. They are completely dried by 10pm.

      @@LocCrush that has alway been my problem, my locs hold water, and the bonnet dryer was never kind to me. I would be under for hours and still my locs were damp.

    • @JahleeyahKalonji
      @JahleeyahKalonji 3 года назад

      @@LocCrush to reduce even more drying time, use a shammy to soak up the excess water from your locs. I bought a few of the orange German shammy's and wrap my locs in them in sections after washing. Then I get a t-shirt and pile everything on my head and find something else to do. It leaves my locs damp but not wet.

    Who else here wanted to see the final Retwist look after using this dryer 😭

  • @luvlocs06
    @luvlocs06 3 года назад

    Thank you so very much! I've not seen anyone with locs use this dryer!
    I saw it takes you 1-2 hours to dry. Do you do each section more than once? Once you retwist, do you let the retwist at the roots air dry?

    • @LocCrush
      @LocCrush  3 года назад +2

      You’re welcome :) Yes, I do a general dry first then feel and go black over any sections that feel damp. Yes, I let the retwisted roots airdry after 💛

    • @luvlocs06
      @luvlocs06 3 года назад +1

      @@LocCrush I'm going to give this a try. My seborrheic dermatitis makes my scalp so tender that I can't put anything at all on it and the heat from an overhead dryer makes it worse. I had been trying to alternate by doing 10 minutes of cool and 5 mins of medium heat off and on until dry. This might be a better option for me.

    • @luvlocs06
      @luvlocs06 3 года назад

      @@LocCrush two more questions. As I'm researching the revair I see it said there are 7 tension settings. What do you use? It also says no oil-based products but I always seal in the moisture for my locs with avocado oil. Do you use anything on your locs before drying?

    • @LocCrush
      @LocCrush  3 года назад +1

      @@luvlocs06 good questions - I set it to 7 and sometimes hold the roots while drying so it doesn’t tug. I apply oil after drying

    • @luvlocs06
      @luvlocs06 3 года назад

      @@LocCrush thank you kindly for your time today! I'll admit that I'm nervous about drying without an oil for a heat protectant (for me my oil) but you've been doing it for 2-3 years and your gorgeous locs are proof it works!
