I love this song. I married a rancher's son when I was 19 and never looked back. I don't know if I can ever find this song. The thing is, my husband left the ranch and became an engineer but retired and came back to help on the cattle ranch. He was killed herding cattle last fall when his horse spooked and bucked. The song reminds me that architects and engineers can go back to being real cowboys. Sometimes they die, however.
holy crap, it's nice... why I love Springsteen is that you can take the lyrics and look at them in many dimensions, those early ones can be sure seen as a metaphor of smth from the real life, but if you want, it can also be just a surrealistic novel, full of fantastic caracters and bizzare things. Many of his later lyrics are simililar: they're just a real stories of the real people, but if you actually look close - often it's not a full, objective reality -it's a story told by the caracter himself, from a perspective...and it's very interesting when you realize that 'cause it's like entering into someone's head, where everything- words, the way they're spoken, the music- plays its part, the elements of the story become symbols of smth that happens in his mind....I never saw any other songwriter or writer in general who does it like that.... where depending on your own interpretation the story may be either completely realistic either completely abstract
Ciao Bruce, perché questa meravigliosa canzone non è mai stata pubblicata? Abbiamo bisogno di un nuovo cofanetto con le tracce mai pubblicate... Tracks 2.....sei il più grande di tutti.
He's not even trying here and it's still mesmerizing.

Bruce Springsteen THE BEST OF THE BEST IN THE WORLD!!
HUGS OF THE BRAZIL,
ROSANGELA D'ORO
the melody is very close to Lost in the flood and other tracks of the period 72-74
A songwriting genius in his early days
I'm sure that he's still writing great songs, even now.😉
@@sharicrocker5841 He most certainly is.
@@sharicrocker5841 yes.

Perché si è evoluta in Lost in the Flood
I hear a little bit of an early down bound train in this song

Though he was never an addict, he wore scars upon his veins
Is this a Greetings outtake?
