What a treat. I saw her in Chicago this close and she was crying in character by the end. I was saddened she left the role after the pandemic rules lifted. Any idea why she stepped out of the role? The cast was amazing but she brought her acting chops to the role and set her above the others (whom I loved).
I don't know why she left the role - it seems like Six rotates its cast on Broadway regularly, so maybe they were just ready for a shift change. We saw her in Six at A.R.T. in Cambridge before they went to Broadway, and she was a standout there, too.
@@peterlee7496 I think something happened. Who knows but I wish her the best. I was lucky enough to be in the front row and the entire original American cast was AMAZING. I also was skeptical because I loved the West End cast from videos and couldn't imagine it done without accents. To me, the orginal American cast was vocally a bit stronger.
@@thomasszymanski1107She did leave earlier than initially planned (I think for some medical reason, about which she was understandably private), but she would have been rotated out by now anyway. The last remaining OBC members finished their contracts in December 2022.
@@brianives4369 oh sure. I just am sad she wasn't able to get her proper Tony moment. but I agree it probably was in that are requiring privacy.
@@thomasszymanski1107 She was still with the production as of the Tony’s - just sick with Covid that day (that she disclosed at the time). She and Adrianna left later that summer.

What’s funny is during Abby Mueller’s reign as queen, her understudy was the dance captain!
Also, she once went on sitting down due to knee problems, so imagine how that line went 😆
