I’m going to try both .. the a vegan version looks good however the ingredients in the alkaline makes me want to try it. This was a great video and recipe. I appreciate you so much! This kind of food is my love language 💜
In Thailand right now, and just had some of that heavenly Thai salad. I will definitely compare this recipe to the traditional Thai version. Thank you Manny!
So good! I love, looooove this salad. If I was in Thailand right now, I'll never stop eating... even in my sleep I'll be eating, while dreaming of eating. Enjoy your stay there Anthony.
I will go for the vegan recipe and do some additions from the alkaline recipe.. like adding the Brazil and walnuts ........thanks Manny for these GREAT recipes ......I would never have thought of making a salad from un ripened Payaya...looks DELICIOUS....!!
That's great to hear! Make it to your liking. That's absolutely what cooking is about. I hope you have fun making it and I hope you enjoy it. Thank you 😊
I had never heard or seen the addition of tamarind paste until now. Also I'm 100% loving your authenticity with why what you do when making alternatives. The alkaline version looks so Som Tum Yum!!!
Made the vegan version today, and although i forgot the garlic i am pleasantly surprised at the taste cuz this is amazing my goodness! And this would be my first time trying Thai food so yes i will definitely be trying more 😋 Thanks for this recipe Manny
@Grubanny for sure! When I'm thinking of trying something new, I put your name in the search box along with what I'm looking for to see if you've done it yet lol.. I actually did that with this recipe. I am a fellow "plant based" chef myself, I just don't have the time or resources to do videos and whatnot (yet), but after all has been said and done, I'm still daydreaming 💭 of the day I get to see your face lol.. I hope there's a grand opening, or gathering, meet and greet or SOMETHING cuz I see big things for you in the future. Although you're obviously doing quite well here on RUclips, I feel this is just the beginning 🫶🏾✨️
@@talibahdivine Thank you! I appreciate you so much. We'll all grow together. I'll bring everyone along on the journey. There's a lot about me I would love to share and I'll do that at the right time. Right now, I want to focus on getting everything out of my head lol. Too many ideas flowing in and I need to get them out. Thanks a lot for your kind words. I'll keep the fire burning.
@GRUBANNY love your videos the music and listening to your instructions expecially when you explain why you didnt do it a certain way. Keep the recipes coming and I/We will be watching and making them.
Manny thank you so much! It's been years since I've had som tum, because i couldn't make it taste as good without the dried shrimp and fish sauce that are traditionally used, and I no longer eat those. I get to pull out my thai mortar and pestle again for this wonderful dish! You're amazing! 💖
aw man.. thai is some of the best food on the planet.. can u figure out how to make that "pad pong gah-ree over thai fried rice" alkalined? they only have it at a few spots that ive seen.. "house of thai 2" (not 1) in san francisco and "bangkok noodles and thai bbq" here in berkeley, ca.. too good.. i miss it so.. i been using a bunch of ur recipes so if u figure that one out i know u would make it really really good
Anyone who's never had Thai food would be shocked their first time trying it. Thai food activates parts of my taste buds I never knew existed lol. I looked up the recipe you requested and it's something I can easily whip up. There's a slight issue though, I would need a special ingredient that's not readily available right now. Once I find it, you'll definitely get your wish. Thanks for bringing up this recipe. It looks delicious!

@Grubanny thank you Manny, having a great time and enjoying every bite of the Thai cuisine. Will be here for a little over 2 months.
Omg, just had some Thai Curry Tempeh and it was amazing! Surprisingly a very simple recipe. Anything can substituted for protein.
I see you're still living it up! Ah... authentic Thai curry tempeh. Too delicious 😋 Don't make me buy a ticket now 🤣
This one was out-of-this-world good
Thank you!

Awesome. Thank you. I like both. I’m not an alkaline vegan but I like both. Maybe I’ll combine both for maximum yumminesd
💯❣️❣️The substitutions are brilliant. I have a peanut allergy. Also The Nori and walnut brings another flavor profile.
I will definitely be making the Alkaline version. It looks amazing.
Thank you DeVoughn! 🙏🏿
I'm definitely trying the Thai green papaya recipe 😍

You're welcome! I hope you enjoy making and eating it. Yes, pull out that Thai mortar. This salad is so worth it.
coco aminos and to replace the shrimp, use fermented bean paste :)))
Both look delicious; however, since I'm committed to Alkaline, I will be making this version. Thanks Manny! You are the best!
Thank you so much! I've got your back. More alkaline recipes coming your way.
I can't wait to try this. 😋
This dish looks amazing and just in time for summer. I'm trying it right away
Thank you Susana!
Definitely trying both. But, February, I'm going back Alkaline.
Yesssss larwd ❤❤❤ Manny can you make something with bok choy and bean sprouts please thanks love ❤️
Definitely. I'll work on it soon 💪🏿
Thank you my favorite vegan chef
Looks good. Any way you can drop the measurements?
Very nice
Oh man I'll be making alkaline version❤
It's delicious. You don't have to use a whole Habanero pepper. It may be too hot lol.
Both
We still call it paw paw in Saint Lucia 🇱🇨
You're correct. It's called paw paw in a lot of places.
Man just off the 2 videos I’ve seen you need more subscribers asasp🎉🎉
Thank you! I'll keep the videos coming.
I had NO idea we’re supposed to dry our nuts & about date sugar 😮
You don't have to soak and dry them, but soaking your nuts will reduce/eliminate possible toxins and nutritional inhibitors.
That's right we call it pawpaw
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I would eat both.
Vegan Salad
Lazist way lov❤😂😂😂😂

Vegan salad but with habanero🤤
Yum!
Papaya is Spanish. Pawpaw is English. I grew up calling it Pawpaw too.
Geesh! This is food porn! It’s 3 in the morning for me
🤣 Thank you! I hope you got some sleep though.
Sounds as if he’s in a horror movie, find his voice very irritating
wtf is this
