Thank you so much Janet!! Sometimes an idea can take over and then it takes ages to get a new one. But if you don’t try it won’t come!!!

I think its great that you didn't give up after a few pulls off the plate, when you thought it was too busy. I probably would have given up and missed out on the fantastic finished result! ❤🎉

Hi Heather, thanks…to be honest this nearly ended up being abandoned. It’s rare I give up, but this was close!!!!! 😂
My answer is gold, I made this at a time I was putting gold in everything…just waaaaaaaaay more on this than usual.
I have framed this one. I keep it and the tartan teddy one as a set. ❤️🦋❤️

Ooo! The final piece is so rich looking. I love all the background layers. You can definitely see the variety of colours in all the layers. I love the sheer joy you have when you do this. Such curiosity and let’s try it attitude 😊💕😊

Using water soluble oil pastels and a variety of media is an eye opener, thanks.

I love the end result, and this will really help me think of ways to work through some prints, since I’m still at that stage where confusing messes are my specialty :D. I agree with L. Wolf about your work being beautiful and saleable!!

I think I embrace the confusing mess by calling it abstract!!! He was a lovely man Mary, and he actually commented lovely messages a couple of days after you, which made me feel kinda special. ❤️

Love your videos! Smart move to forever forget using silicone! Your work is actually saleable and you should be striving to archival quality finished art work. Silicone is incredibly difficult to do any conservation work on at some future point in time.
I don't even allow it in my conservation studio. It always seems to end up where it's not wanted and it's difficult to ever get rid of it. Naturally silicone tools are fine to use but, the liquid and/or the caulking are a huge taboo. Start (if you're not already) using PH neutral archival paper or board and keep up the fine work keeping permanence in mind and possibly investigate a local gallery to display some of your work.
    Good Luck! 💖

Hi, wow!! Thank you so much. It’s 7.30 am here so thank you for this wonderful start to the day. A conservation studio sounds very intriguing. What is it you do, I’m very interested? Those silicon drops were a daft buy. I had a brief thought about paint pouring, which uses silicon. I’ve never been in touch with a gallery. I’ve participated in 2 local exhibitions. I have some large paintings I’m very proud of, they’re a bit off the wall crazy. You will let me know about the conservation studio?
