Man just hearing the sounds like him getting the coins is hitting with nostalgia! I remember me and my two brothers having a blast playing this on our first home computer.
Ya and also disney hercules action game, disney aladdin and shrek 2 team action was amazing games in those days

Literally, this is just pure nostalgia. No one can ever compare the feelings you get from hearing that PS1 Intro, and remembering your childhood, and the good times. Still glad I still have mine and play on my PS1, and play till this day. Nothing will ever be like this, how I wish I could go back to the good old days. Take in next week on Tuesday the 19th of April, I'll be 20 for my birthday. How time flies honestly. Like literally hearing that chime, and sound it would make while loading up, with that iconic logo, and startup screen, and then hearing this game and movie's iconic soundtrack intro made by one of my favorite singers. What a throwback this is, and games todays don't hit like these games did. I'll never forget the final scene, or the stampede, and even fighting the leopard and what a throwback. Glad to still have my copy still, and my PS1, but if I could go back in time, I'd relive these memories, and this has to be my favorite game, movie, and soundtrack. I know for many this carried as well their childhoods, what a time it was again, for everyone that had a chance to experience this. As I write this, I was literally just playing this iconic game, trying to relive it.
I literally just got done playing this game on an emulator. It had pretty good gameplay and I loved the level you mentioned where you're running away from the stampede of elephants. It was a pretty good game, although I prefer many other Disney games over it. Also, I am surprised someone your age grew up with PS1. You're 21 now? I'm nearly 23 and I didn't grow up with it. I grew up with a PS2.
@@yuppiecake9097 My childhood was PS1, and the PS2 later on, Grew up in a 80s/90s environment so yeah. I don't own any other console other than these two (And a GC), and I still got them working and playing to this day, not as often now but still hits.

I got this for a Christmas gift as a kid and remember just transcending into this exotic and colorful world which was in sharp contrast to what December is like in northern Scandinavia at that time of year. I loved every moment of this game.

What a blast from the past! I remember not having a PS1 memory card and playing from the beginning countless times. The farthest I had ever gotten was "The coming of age." How ironic.

I used to play this game when i was very young around 8-9 years old.. i dont recollect it… but nan those animations werr superb on those days… my uncle had this game on his computer and i used to play this whenever i visit his home…. Pure nostalgia after seeing this game in RUclips…. I thought no body knew about this game … now i am 25 .. and suddenly i was thinking about this game, and thought why not search it in the internet to check if someone has played this game, but after seeing the comments, it made me realise many has played this game in their childhood…..

I play this game 25 years ago. It hit me so hard to remember my childhood was gone
The most difficult level is absolutely the last one against Clayton. Above all it's complicated to get all the letters (some of which are quite high up) due to the animals jumping on you and him chasing you at your heels. Not to mention the final fight at the top: Clayton is strong and in addition to the rifle he throws knives at you in all directions. I had to struggle to pass this level
The days when the collectibles tell you how close you are to the end of level.
Like T is found near the beginning. And N Found near the end.
Best platform game of the late 90's beside Jazz Jackrabbit 2. My sweet childhood.
As a child the most scary level was the one of the boat with clayton's men. One of the levels i loved playing the most was stampede with the elephants storming.

Never made it past 1:40.00. I thought the guy was taking too many hits and was invincible and that you needed to do something but I always died trying to figure it out ways to get passed him. Never crossed my mind that you could look up things about video games but it was so long ago even if I was older and tried I don't know if the old internet would have helped.
The other Tarzan game is way too difficult. This one is much better. My only complaints are that the camera is too close and the 100% coin completion of autoscroll levels.
If I had my ps1 again I would replay this game it was so special and amazing to me as a kid i know I can play it on PC but I don't want to I want to experience it on ps1 again it just feels perfect to play on ps1

I always had a hard time on the stampede, also somehow my game never saved on the Memory Pak... But now that I see it I just needed to follow the coins lol

This is 1 of my favorite disney movies 🎬 of the 90's the main reason is because the music 🎶 was done by phil collins and he's 1 of my favorite musicians

Idk man, I love this game, But when I was a Kid, Playing on my mom's laptop in Spanish because I couldn't find a version in any other language I could understand, It felt so atmospherical, I feared the game, Lol, I KNOW WHAT IT SOUNDS LIKE, I KNOW IT SOUNDS LIKE I DON'T LIKE THIS GAME, but I love it with all my heart, and the atmosphere this game had is what I try to make my stories have as well

I thought this game was hard as a kid and I still think it's hard now, aside from the first 3 levels and Coming of Age (5th level), the rest of the levels are not easy to complete 100%, especially when you're a 7-9 year old kid.
