That level is basically Metal Gear Solid, but its Penguins of Madagascar.
It‘s a love hate for me lol
It‘s pretty cool at first, but everytime I replay this game it reminds me of, how goddamn long and sometimes repetitive that level is xD

1:25:25 This level was so incredibly difficult, just like the task of killing the zoo hunter on the ship. It took me hours and kept me from playing the next levels for a long time...
Same here, It was the hardest level in the game for me when i was a little kid, I'd always get mad. When my older cousins would come, they would beat the level for me. But even then, if I finish the game i'd have to suffer through that level again and the whole process would repeat. Nowadays it's a breeze to pass that level.
My dad use to always play this game with me & he would help me on the hard levels 😂

God those credits animations are from a time when devs just truly poured a metric ton of love into these games, most of these animations weren't even used in the actual game so its nice to see them get used anyway...

I always felt Marty's Escape was so scary when I was little.
Marty to the rescue was the scariest in my opinion. I mean Jesus, listen to the music for that level!
Fighting the crocs are hilarious, the way the white croc says "technique" is so sexy
Save the lemurs was definitely the hardest level for me when I was younger

Unlike most games in this day of age, these old ps2 games just really hit me hard to the heart. It's amazing how a game from 15 years ago can still be a masterpiece. I'm revisiting all the games I've played in the past just for about 10 minutes per game, just until my ps2 ships to my house and I buy these games. The world needs games like these in modern day. Like yeah, first person shooters are cool but eventually they get stale because it is all the same. Unlike modern day games, these games had actual dedication and thought put into the fun aspect rather than the graphics aspect which most developers now-a-days fail to remember todo. I will take fun over graphics any day. The best thing about this game compared to every other game is the vast variety of gameplay. At one point, your gathering items for upgrades, then the next ur playing a tank mini game and just 2 minutes later a race game. And it just keeps going. I almost feel bad for comparing this game to the perfection that is sonic heroes. But hell, this game is a close competitor in terms of enjoyment. The only reason it's not as fun as sonic heroes, is that sonic heroes, while lacking in the different gamemodes, is the environment and physics to the environment on gravity and pve. This is either going to be the first game I buy for my 'new' ps2 or it will be sonic heroes. Possibly even Scooby-Doo unmasked

I remember going to see Madagascar for the first time as a kid and then the projector broke as the movie was starting. My mom then took me to buy this game as a substitute for not being able to see the movie and the rest is history
I just started replaying this game again on Dolphin emulator for some nostalgia and I still absolutely love this game! Very underrated, honestly.

When i was younger i literally played through this whole game about 15 times. I loved playing it so much and it was the only game I ever finished. All the parts are entertaining and i loved the level in the streets of New York when you tried to avoid cars and cops and stuff. this game was my childhood.

Here it is, the first video game I ever played! Got a PS2 for my 4th birthday with this Madagascar game. A lot of this is etched into my memory, I remember being so shocked I could move the characters on the tv!
I had this on my family PC, along with Ice Age, Kung Fu Panda and the Transformers 2007 game. also Age of Mythology. miss those days.
For a movie game, this was incredible! I am only finding out now that it's made by Toys for Bob, which makes sense considering their many recent successes. I spent many, MANY hours playing this game as a kid. There are so many little gags and easter eggs thrown in too, mini games, fun switch-ups, etc... even if it's not the greatest game of all time, it's neat that this game managed to catch so much of my attention when there were plenty of phenomenal AAA games available at the time. Good movie adaptations are pretty rare, yes? I think this game is definitely one of them

Definitely in my top 5 all time, sometimes a game doesn’t need to be overly complex , somehow this game like a few others from dreamworks just worked damn well.
Bro. The main menu already makes me wanna cry. The thing i remember the most are the penguin missions on the boat. My god the fucking sound effects for it using the crane. And i remember a race with gloria. Where u used the peppers to go faster.
