    I thought this was very helpful and may use your technique to do the same with my truck. I’m not in the trade that you are but this will become useful to me for cutting up fallen trees on back country roads for firewood. Thanks for sharing.

  • @roywhipple4923
    @roywhipple4923 3 года назад +2

    Looks great the only thought I have is you could put a small swinging gate just above the the tailgate so that you have an enclosed box and non of your mulch will fly out the back, plus you can stack bags of recycling full truck bed style , if you ever do recycling you could make 300$ a trip off of plastic bottles and cans with a full truck bed pretty easily.

    • @HorizonLMG
      @HorizonLMG  6 лет назад

      Yes, you are correct...they do rust. But, knowing that these walls will only be on my truck whenever I need them and not all the time, I just went ahead and used them because they are quick to zip in and out. It only takes me about 5 minutes to put on and take off...when I'm not using the walls, they are leaning against the wall in my garage. Thank you for the comment, and if you haven't yet, please subscribe! Thanks again.

    What do you think of the idea of putting the vertical supports on the exterior, so that if you are hauling branches they don't get hung up on the vertical ones as you try to shove them in? Ditto the bolts--if the rounded head is on the inside, while the bolt and nut on the outside, things can't get hung up on the latter as you try to shove them in the bed.

    • @HorizonLMG
      @HorizonLMG  5 лет назад +1

      5 Gammons on 5 acres hmmmm. That’s a good question. I don’t think it would be difficult at all. You could add the gate to the back or the side. You would just need to add hinges. I would add the gate at the back above the tailgate. Add two heavy duty barn door hinges on each side and have the gate open like a barn door (one to each side). That’s just how I’d do it.

      Nope. If I ever have to leave tools on a job site, or take tools with me, I'll either leave them locked on the jobsite somewhere, or take the home and unload them each night. Nothing to keep them safe from being taken if I were to leave them in the truck.
