Wow I reated so much with what Chad said! I'm 21 and battling with not giving too much value to what people think of me, wanting so much the approval of others. 13:55 this is such good advice for choosing a good church too. Really righteously judge the character/habits of the pastor/congregation!! Decide for yourself if that is what you want to become, bc there is no getting around the fact that you WILL absorb those character traits as you get involved. Do they hold Scripture highly? Are they sensitive to the Spirit? Are they zealous? Disciplined? No church is perfect, but as an institution it is probably the single most influential force in a believer’s life right behind family, and that means we should be mindful and discerning about where we plant ourselves. Just my two cents!
