I had read when Jordan Peele saw Monkey Man he was blown away. Smart on Peele to bring Monkey Man under his tent so we can see it in theaters, but I'm sure Netflix is a little salty...
I saw this trailer just before Iron Claw and I'm even more pumped I'd NEVER in a million years see Dev Patel would bring out a movie like this as his directorial debut but here are and couldn't be more proud of him and can't wait for it to hit at my local cinema soon
Lord Hanuman (the mythological inspiration for this movie) is the inspiration for Luffy from one piece. The main character in this movie is based on Lord Hanuman as well. Lord Hanuman is an inspiration for Son Wukong.
@@Mr.Nobody_007 That's just a rumour. But if Indian movies like Kashmir files, Article 360, The Kerala Story can be banned in other countries then Indian can ban a movie if it reeks of propaganda. There are many propaganda elements in the movie that only Indians understand. For example caste system, demeaning Hindus, undermining Hindu genocide and so on. Western films are known for such propaganda.
That’s great to hear, I only found out about this movie recently but ever since then it’s been on my radar because I think it looks awesome, it honestly looks like we could be getting another John Wick with this movie, an independent action movie that came out of nowhere but it ended up blowing us all away, that’s what I’m hoping this movie is

While I'm proud of Patel and what he's accomplished so far, he's not the first big super star in Hollywood. That goes to Sabu. Sabu was a pretty big star in Hollywood back in the 40's and 50's with The Jungle Book, The Thief of Baghdad and more.

I look at Monkey Man as a sequel to Slumdog Millionaire. It has the same look and feel to it. Now his character is all grown-up from the streets to running it.
These type of movies are common in India...and John wick is not what you will feel once you see these type of movies...you will enter into different world of entertainment
