i haven't seen the movie, but i cried when i read a story. what an immortal bond. srsly i really can't watch the movie. heart not so strong.
What I can not understand the whole country was impressed by the loyalty of Hachiko but no one helped him with his traumatic experience he was going through for 9 years! I am a vegan an animal lover not a pet lover who eats animal saying I love animals which is a contradiction, so I do feel the pain and emotions of every animal, why those people there did not helped Hachiko to leave that place, dogs love is forever they will never say one day like creepy humans do I do not love you anymore, so is Hachiko and I feel so much the emotion he went through for 9 years and I am very angry on the people close to him who did not helped his trauma!
I understand your thoughts and feelings but don't be despair he was born for that purpose he was the dog to carry out that loyalty. RIP Hachico you are the best hope japan will do something special for you on your 100th birthday lots of love from miles away
Unlike what you saw in the movies, Hachi's owner wasn't married and had no children so he doted on Hachi like his own child. The professor had a girlfriend but since women generally didn't work outside the house in the 1920s, she couldn't afford to keep Hachi so he was given to his friend and gardener instead. So Hachi was never a homeless stray. He did have another owner after Professor Ueno who fed and housed him after he returned home from the train station but remained loyal to his first owner.
