      Hi there quick question
      What to do if you remove the pads and calipers for the breaks before you go to dash and activate fitting position?
      Can you help with that

    Just one tip for anyone else who struggled to get this to work, you have to be on the page on the Trip menu that shows mileage and not one of the other views such as Digital Speed, Eco settings, etc. I spent an hour cursing my car as I couldn't access the menu until I managed to discover how to do it!

    Hi DIYaly, how do you change the unit of speed on the top left corner? I'm in the a km/h region, I try to change the main speed unit to mph but it still shows mph on the top left corner.

    Thanks for the video. I've got the older system it seems, just the top phone button, but either way, this is useful to know, I'll be changing my rears this weekend as they're pretty much done and I know the dealer will charge earth to do it. Parts are surprisingly reasonable from dealer though, but labour, no thanks. Haha.

      Thanks for the comment , much appreciated .. 👌 yeah tbf we often use the dealer for parts as they can be really reasonable on price for OE parts! 👍

    Thanks for the video. I did get to the Brake pad replacement message but after pressing ok and ok again it failed to move to the fitting position, just keep getting a message, Conditions not fulfilled-retry with ok. Would appreciate some ideas.

    • @diydaly
      @diydaly  3 года назад +1

      Thanks for the comment, it doesn't say this in the handbook and often catches people out! the only condition required is that the handbrake is OFF before setting pad replacement.. hopefully this will help you 👍

    Hello do you only have to put the car into service mode to do the rear as I just need to change the front pads will I need to put the car into service mode for that as I'm sure service mode only retracts the rear hand brake piston

    • @diydaly
      @diydaly  3 года назад +2

      Yeah the only reason for service mode is to retract the rear piston.. you’ll be ok just doing the fronts without 👍👌

    • @benjaminy2405
      @benjaminy2405 3 года назад +1

      Do we need to do anything to retract the front brake piston when replacing front brake pad/rotor?

    • @sammouss6901
      @sammouss6901 3 года назад +1

      @@benjaminy2405 no just standard but I would advise you to get the special brake caliper piston pusher as a standard one will not fit in there or you the Old brake pads and a screwdriver to force it open that's what I had to do in the end and it worked fine always open the reservoir cap

    I replaced the back brake pads 7 months ago but I do not think the garage reset the pads. Would it be okay to do the brake service reset or just leave it?

    • @diydaly
      @diydaly  4 года назад +1

      This procedure is only to set the pistons back into place. The garage must have set them back or it would have had the brake warning flashing since they were replaced. The brake pad wear warning is detected through the pads sensors which can’t be reset , if the warning light is on and the pads have been replaced u may have a faulty or damaged sensor. Thanks

    • @diydaly
      @diydaly  4 года назад +1

      It would be possible for you to attempt the procedure though, it certainly wouldn’t harm anything

    • @mrahman1407
      @mrahman1407 4 года назад +1

      @@diydaly I do not have any warning lights. The garage probably did reset the brake service then. I was not aware of this feature until watching your video. Thanks.
