🎄Istanbul BAĞDAT STREET Walking Tour 4K |December 2022|

Istanbul is the most important city of Turkey in terms of economic, historical and socio-cultural structure and for travelers, that means there is a lot to discover!
Istanbul is filled with the amazing places that you can navigate through exploring and having fun all at once. It has a lot of districts in this city, but some of these districts get more attention from the tourists rather than other districts and that is because of its location, bars, restaurants, relaxing natural views or the historical places. In this article, I am going to talk about one of the most famous yet amazing districts in Istanbul which is located in the Anatolian side of Istanbul nearby the seashore, that district is Kadiköy. Actually, people got divided into 2 halves, a half who loves Taksim, and the other half loves Kadiköy.
Bağdat Avenue is considered to be the equivalent main avenue compared to Istiklal Avenue in Taksim, Beyoğlu. In the major celebrations such as the Republic Day of Turkey, people gather in Taksim Square in the European side, and, at Bağdat Avenue in the Anatolian side. Bağdat Avenue is a 14 km main street, the most famous and important part of it is the one way 6 km long street. The Avenue has many shops and restaurants which does look like an open-air shopping mall under the skies. In the summer and weekends the sideways of the avenue get crowded with the people shopping and walking around, traffic there is almost a standard situation in Bagdat Avenue. It is worth to mention that Bagdat Avenue is used since the 1960s as a racing street, the racers used to import their muscle cars and start to race in that street. Nowadays the international bike marathon gets cross Bagdat Street too.
Same as Taksim Beyoğlu, Kadiköy has one of these small red reconstructed trams which had been opened in Kadiköy also in order to remind the locals about the history of the tram. You can shorten the route if you want to walk through Moda, the Tram goes from Moda to Bahriye.
Walking in the historical bazaar in Kadiköy looks so similar to Misir Bazaar in the European side. As you can imagine the two sides are almost equal in places and concepts. It is one of the most enjoyable places to walk in Kadiköy. You must try one of the fish sandwiches because it is extremely worth it, you must give it a try.

İstanbul, hem keşfedip hem de eğlenerek gezinebileceğiniz muhteşem yerlerle dolu. Bu şehirde bir çok ilçe bulunmaktadır ancak bu ilçelerin bir kısmı konumu, barları, restoranları, dinlendirici doğa manzarası veya tarihi yerleri nedeniyle turistlerin diğer ilçelere göre daha fazla ilgi görmesinden kaynaklanmaktadır. Bu yazıda İstanbul'un Anadolu yakasında deniz kıyısında yer alan İstanbul'un en ünlü ama bir o kadar da muhteşem semtlerinden biri olan Kadıköy'den bahsedeceğim. Aslında insanlar 2'ye bölünmüş durumda, yarısı Taksim'i seven, diğer yarısı Kadıköy'ü seven.
Bağdat Caddesi, Beyoğlu Taksim'deki İstiklal Caddesi'ne eşdeğer ana cadde olarak kabul edilir. Cumhuriyet Bayramı gibi büyük kutlamalarda halk Avrupa yakasında Taksim Meydanı'nda, Anadolu yakasında ise Bağdat Caddesi'nde toplanır. Bağdat Caddesi 14 km'lik bir ana cadde olup, en meşhur ve önemli kısmı 6 km'lik tek yönlü caddedir. Avenue, gökyüzünün altında bir açık hava alışveriş merkezi gibi görünen birçok mağaza ve restorana sahiptir. Yaz aylarında ve hafta sonları caddenin yan kenarları alışveriş yapan ve dolaşan insanlarla dolup taşıyor, trafik Bağdat Caddesi'nde neredeyse standart bir durumda. Bağdat Caddesi'nin 1960'lı yıllardan itibaren yarış caddesi olarak kullanıldığını, yarışçıların muscle car'larını ithal ederek bu caddede yarışmaya başladıklarını belirtmekte fayda var.
Aynı Taksim Beyoğlu gibi, Kadıköy'de de yerlilere tramvayın tarihini hatırlatmak için Kadıköy'de açılan bu küçük kırmızı rekonstrüksiyon tramvaylardan biri var. Moda'dan yürümek isterseniz rotayı kısaltabilirsiniz, Tramvay Moda'dan Bahriye'ye gidiyor.
Kadıköy'deki tarihi çarşıda yürümek, Avrupa yakasındaki Mısır Çarşısı'na çok benziyor. Tahmin edebileceğiniz gibi iki taraf da mekan ve konsept olarak neredeyse eşit. Kadıköy'de yürümesi en keyifli yerlerden biri. Balıklı sandviçlerden birini mutlaka denemelisiniz çünkü buna fazlasıyla değer, mutlaka denemelisiniz.
