I use Steam Deck on an I pad, the cover has a built-in stand and I position it between my monitor and keyboard. Because it's further away I can see my screen and stream deck without having to look too low...
HI Cat, Excellent sharing. I love Stream Deck. I use it all the time for almost everything. Is there a keyboard shortcut for Zoom "Focus Mode"? I want to add it to my stream Deck.
Thanks for your clear review! At the moment, I'm not faced with an easy choice of what to buy. I want to use when recording streams. I want to ask you, today, your subjective opinion, which is better than Elgato XL or Loupedesk? Thanks for your expert answer!
Hello Cat. I have a question related to your old video in which you taught how to write on screen using iPad. Question is if a sentence is written in black on that green background screen, which gone transparent, will that sentence written in black show on your screen with transparent BG and you can draw lines and shapes on that sentence with your pen ? thanks.
Have you ever tried one of the left-hand keyboards for gaming? Then you would not have to look down at all :) I've used the G13 from Logitech for years in gaming. Done now, but I do see a potential in OBS.
I would now say Streamdeck for me still. Although I'd like to have the rotary controls for editing, but I am too used to the mouse and sliderbars. It would not justify the price. And I like the tactile buttons a bit more than the touchscreen. I tend to get into a fight with those sometimes.
The screens on both are actually the same. The Streamdeck has one big OLED screen, and the buttons just direct the icon from the screen up through the appropriate button. If you use a Mac and have Keyboard Maestro, you can change the buttons on the fly, the text as well. I have one that runs a long macro that when I hit it, it changes the icon and label to warn not to touch the button. Then it indicates the macro did what it was supposed to do and then resets to the ready icon. The button next to it toggles two different icons for itself. One indicates that if you hit the button to the right it will fully run the macro, and the other indicates the macro will pause part way through and I can decide whether to let it run or cancel. When I choose, it will rest all icons when it’s done. I have 97 buttons for my web browser in one profile with multiple pages. I never use folders because they just get in the way. I’ve checked both and haven’t found equivalent functionality on the Loupedeck.
I use the Loupedeck as a buttonbox for simracing and i love this thing. It is such a cool device and i like it way more as the Streamdeck. The Stremdeck software is more polished but the roteryencoders from the Loupedeck are the real deal. In the beginning i tought the touchscreen would bother me but in reality thats not the case.
streamdeck+ has rotarys. Cant decide - I seem to notice that Loupdeck has dynamic data showing on the buttons ? cant figure how that works, I believe there are profiles written in C sharp ?
Every time that I press left click on my mouse, the Stream Deck will jump back to the "Default Profile", how can I resolve this problem and keep at the profile that I am using? Any advice? Many thanks!
This is by far the most comprehensive and understandable comparison! Thank you!
Cat, you really do a great job making the complex simple.
Thank you so much 😊 It means a lot to hear that.
Great video, as always, Cat! Can you make a Stream Deck button move to a specific scene in Ecamm Live?

I've been looking for such a comparison for so long ! Thank you so much

Definitely looking forward to seeing what's coming up for Loupedeck!

imagine an xl-sized loupdeck with stream deck buttons replacing the touchscreen, or adding dials on the xl stream deck... 🤔
@phat nutz... Loupedeck does have a larger model... Loupedeck CT.
Great video Cat. Sorry I couldn't make it live.

You have it available now.

You should update this challenge with the latest steam deck plus . I hope you’ll make a video about it
It's coming!
now with the loupedeck you can lock the keys and push a button of your choice to enable it again.
you. should try out the new stream deck plus
It's coming!
Cat, are you lefthanded?

I advise you for add backup your profile as you can personalized keys. When stream deck will problem for lose your profile.
But backup is important
Loupedeck are MUCH MUCH better because of Dial.
No knobs on the streamdeck. Side by side comparison. Are you serious? 😂
