When I was young I used to love watching Abbott and Costello on TV. It was in Black and White. They made movies and had a TV show in the 50s. Love your reaction.

I was introduced to them in 2004 when I went through a greaser phase but have loved their stuff since.
I read that Abbott and Costello made 36 movies together, and a lot of people say the best one was "Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein." They had their own TV series in the 1950s, and the title was simply "The Abbott and Costello Show."
I saw a lot of the full episodes used to be on RUclips

Great reations to this video and to "who's on first'. You can't go wrong with anything you watch from Abbott and Costello. They were the greatest comedy team of all time and they were stars in every venue of entertainment. First they were stars of the stages of vaudeville, then radio, then movies, then television and decades after they're deaths they're stars on the internet.
I love seeing people be introduced to Abbott and Costello for the first time. I grew up on their comedy, as my mom was a really big fan for most of her life and so she introduced them to me when I was young.
Abbott and Costello were stars in virtually every media outlet available in their day. Stage, radio, television, and even films. Their TV show was called The Abbott and Costello Colgate Comedy Hour, and was a series of sketches featuring them which were often broken up by musical numbers performed by special guests (think Saturday Night Live, minus the weekly guest host and focusing mostly on Abbott and Costello).
They also have a very extensive filmography, having starred in (I think) 48 movies over the course of their careers. Several of them would make excellent movies to react to during the Halloween season, as they made several crossover movies with famous Universal monsters. There’s “Abbott & Costello Meet Frankenstein”, “Abbott & Costello Meet The Mummy”, “Abbott & Costello Meet The Invisible Man”, “Abbott & Costello Meet Doctor Jekyll and Mister Hyde”, among others. I’m sure that you’re bound to find them to be truly hilarious, without having to be totally frightening.

Bud Abbotts grandson is on YT and he said he know that his grandfather would be proud to know that his work is still appreciated and still making people laugh!! The creative math in this is astounding!! Genius work in this!! Its 91! LOL. This was done Live on TV and in front of a studio audience! They had Abbott & Costello Comedy Hour on TV. But they did several movies!!! My Fav..."Hold That Ghost"!!! Laugh my af every time!!!

This is comments, a first impression draft, raw, unedited, unfiltered. In reality, in real time. All you are is just a self appointed comment spelling and grammar phobic. FYI, I would have not responded like this if you only had at least, the common sense of an acorn to leave out your first sentence. I would have said "Thanks, simple spelling error. No problem." Yet you had to substantiate your asinine superiority complex for all to see. That kind of control has a logical assumption of, you are not in personal control of your own life. So you seek it out to berate those you think you have some sway over. And those you choose are in comments on the Internet. Never take a gun to a knife fight. This skit 7x13=28 was included in the 1941 film “In the Navy” starring Abbott and Costello with Dick Powell and The Andrews Sisters. If you like this Ma and Pa Kettle do a similar skit with the equation 5x14=25.
They started in Burlesque then to Vaudeville. They moved to their own show in radio, then they made dozens of movies and finished their career with the TV show. They were under contract with Universal and made several movies with the Universal monsters: Frankenstein, Dracula, The Wolfman, The Mummy along with their stand alone comedies. They were not friends and disliked each other immensely in their latter years, but they were Pro’s and did their job.
Abbott and Costello always slayed people. Especially when they had guests on their show, the reactions from the guests and the audience were real. No laugh tracks. The "give it to me" routine never fails to bring me to tears laughing.

Hi Asia! Don't think too hard about it because your head will explode. Mine did, the last time I saw this video, and the hospital bill to patch me up was enormous. So I tried using the Abbott & Costello math, to show where their calculations were wrong, and they called the authorities on me! Go figure! :)
My 3rd grade teacher would role in a b&w tv at lunchtime and we would watch Abbot & Costello. Sometimes Laurel & Hardy. Great stuff
Abbott & Costello DID make films, but I can recall watching them on TV weekly as a child.
Abbott and Costello made many comedy movies. There's one in particular that I and some may suggest "Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein" (1948), but to best enjoy and appreciate the humor in that one you should watch these four horror classics it's based on first, "Frankenstein" (1931), "Dracula" (1931), "The Wolf Man" (1941) and "The Invisible Man" (1933). These four are all excellent classics in glorious B&W. Since your mom watched The Three Stooges, she's likely have seen some of these movies and could recommend them. Another good musical-comedy done about 10 months before the Pearl Harbor attack is "Buck Privates" (1941) about the draft, boot camp and packed with a lot of swing and boogie-woogie music from the '40s era. But there's one really well made comedy-drama you would enjoy, and like Buck Privates you won't need to watch anything else first (LOL) and that's "The Time Of Their Lives" (1946). ✌️😎

A lot of people don't know that Bud Abbott had epilepsy and every time he felt a seizure coming on, Lou would punch him in the stomach. They worked together extremely well.
All of Abbott and Costello’s bits are vaudeville sketches. Some were originated by the performers and others were written by gag writers. A lot of vaudevillians performed the same bits.

They did quite few movies and those skits you've reacted too were called variety shows because they did a variety of skits, before terms "sitcom" or "situational comedy's" and "serials" was coined. Anyway their movies were very funny and popular in their day, they were Famous!

Still.....the masters of great comedy!!! This was their second most famous comedy skit!! It still is very hilarious to watch this!! It was also used in "Abbott & Costello ~ In the Navy." Who ever came up with this was a mathematical genius...to throw around numbers like this!!! I also would like to mention that this is the way we do "NEW MATH" in the schools, now-a-days!! Now that you've discovered Abbott and Costello. You need to watch The Carol Burnett Show. Tim Conway and Harvey Korman in "The dentist" & "The Elephant Story" We loved watching this variety show every Saturday night for 11 years. We had great tv shows growing up.

There was a movie about them being in the navy. That was the first appliance of the actor that replace Curly from the three stooges (Chemp). The 7X13=28 was first seen in that movie but it was about 13 donuts for 7 officers.
Abbott and Costello started out as a dual team in vaudeville. They landed their own radio show which led to hit records of their radio show which led to movies and then television and back to movies. When they started there was no TV. They even have a joke in their radio play where Costello gets a card from a television show producer and Costello says "there's nothing on the card"and the producer replies "well, television isn't here yet."😂.

This scene was from their TV show, however they did the same routine in a movie called Abbott and Costello In The Navy, and it also had The Andrews Sisters (who did Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy Of Company B), but not only the Andrews Sisters, but also Dick Powell, and also Shemp Howard (which you probably already knew was a stooge, he was Curly and Moe’s brother).

they did both. in the 40's they did movies then in 52 they had 2 seasons of a TV Series. much of the early days of TV comedy were carry overs from Vaudeville acts.

My dad loved them so much. The after he passed, I purchased DVD of Abbott & Costello Meet The Monsters. It'll have you on the floor laughing. They did more movies and shows, but that's my favorite.
