I see the honor.
"Children, obey your parents because you belong to the Lord, for this is the right thing to do. 'Honor your father and mother.' This is the first commandment with a promise: If you honor your father and mother, 'things will go well for you, and you will have a long life on the earth.'” Ephesians 6:1-3
This scripture underlines the mutual respect and honor in family relationships, emphasizing the importance of recognizing and fostering honor within the family.
I'm dutiful to their discipleship.
“Direct your children onto the right path, and when they are older, they will not leave it.” Proverbs 22:6
The act of guiding children in their spiritual and moral journey is paramount in Biblical teachings, emphasizing a parent’s role in nurturing a child's faith and character.
My purpose has brought peace.
“God blesses those who work for peace, for they will be called the children of God.” Matthew 5:9
Applying principles of peace and understanding in parenting leads to a harmonious family life, aligning with the Biblical pursuit of peace.
I've grown more patient.
But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things! Galatians 5:22-23
The scriptures encourage patience and understanding, reflected in the teachings of Biblical Womanhood. A direct verse for patience, especially in the context of parenting and personal growth, such as from Galatians on the fruit of the Spirit including patience, can be applied here.
I enjoy life with them.
“Grandchildren are the crowning glory of the aged; parents are the pride of their children.” Proverbs 17:6
Enjoying life with your children is seen as a blessing in the Bible, highlighting the joy and reward that comes from a close-knit and loving family relationship.

That's such a a wise statement. "The days are long but the years are short". I know I can get so lost in overwhelm of the day instead of the Biblical way. It causes us to lose too much time and it never feels good coming out of that realizing you wasted it, worrying instead of bonding. And the years soar past!
