    The best investment i made for my boat,,,, maintenance free in comparison to traditional tabs,,, planning is seamless,,, steaming with sea at side or angle it still balances the boat,, also minimum throttle to plan drastically reducing fuel consumption and top speed i never had before,,,, my boat is Queens 45,,, i fixed 60 cm intercepters on outer sides and 30 cm intercepters in center..

      Deploying this tab would normally increase the hulls drag, no?. Do you have any before/after numbers? What was the top speed increase with the tabs deployed?... the fuel efficiency increase?... the planing speed decrease? (👈 *edit - an improvement here seems right). I'm genuinely interested and probably not the only one.

    Mate I reckon if Aaron stuck his head in the water steam would come out.

    great video, very instructive, just one question in regard with the ZipWake trim tab and the out board leveling trim, do you use both at the same time or do they fight each other, I would be interested in that aspect. Thanks and all the best

    Yes Aaron likes the sound of his own voice BUTTT, I've had Zip Wakes on my 6.5m boat for 2 years and can't say imagine not having them. Best money spent on the boat. no argument, saves money on petrol, makes it safer and gives you a more comfortable ride.

    hey Aaron ive been looking at zip wakes recently so does zip wakes effect keeping the bow of the boat up in a following sea? i got quite a sharp v boat so it needs to have a bow rideing up high or it would veer of course in ruff following seas. really can the bow be up at anytime. cheers

      or could any one with zip wakes answer this

    • @davemarine01
      @davemarine01 4 года назад

      @@tides4298 yeah im wondering same, if you lose control of keeping the bow up high and tight in a nasty following sea, kinda harks back to the 737 max 8 accidents when the computer takes control and you got no say in it !

      In automatic mode you can still make manual adjustments to the interceptor blade extension percentage which is called a pitch offset. If you want the blades retracted more than what the auto control is extending them by you roll the pitch wheel down on the control panel to make a negative offset (retracts blades manually in steps of 1% for less stern lift). Or you can have a positive offset if you want more blade extension (more stern lift) say for getting the bow down more for cutting through chop. You can save the changes you made also.

      They don't I'm afraid, well, to a degree but you still need to read the water and play the same game but the fact they hold you more level helps a lot to be in better control.

    I've just bought a boat with these on, didn't realise how good they were until I started driving it! But my question Aaron, because I'm thick as fuck, how do you set your motor trim? I was playing about yesterday, usually I would trim all the way down, get it up on plane them trim it but I'm fucked if I can work out the best trim when I have the zipwake in auto

    • @BrisbaneYamaha
      @BrisbaneYamaha  3 года назад

      Correct the Zipwake over Tull trim to a level
      I never take off with motor up but with Zipwake you can
      I put trim on about 2 to 4 bars and that’s it
      Awesome for taking off in shallow water

      @@BrisbaneYamaha now I've had a bit more play I think I understand it, basically it does everything for you and makes you look good, the boat came with an evinrude 250 g2 etec ho and that seems to be in an auto trim mode from the computer, essentially it all just means I can concentrate more on drinking beer.
