High school is a waste of life, so many students commit suicide because of how much stress they’ve been put in. And how much bullying they’ve been put through, what’s the point of assignments and homework and school when you can just be free and live your happiest life out there? School is just a distraction from what you wanna do best. And school makes you feel like not good enough from getting low grades.

I quit just a few months when i couldn't bare it anymore, i grew so much, learned 3 programming languages and all sorts of computer skills, i became a photographer, i lived a basic life but a full one, after saving up for a year i went cycle touring across Scandinavia and Europe, i worked part time in a gas station, i learned to wrench on just about anything and everything, i decided to teach my self some high level math because why not? After working my way to calculus i taught my self higher level physics which actually granted me a job serving a position normally held by a geophysicist where i model data and work continuously on all sorts of algorithms, truthfully this is just the tip of the iceberg, all this while my now educated friends are struggling to get work. Not trying to stab people who went the traditional route but what i am saying is that people really need to use their most fruitful years to their fullest, times are also changing, never have their been so easy access to learning material. School in my eyes is a complete and total waste of my time. In my case it did nothing else but put brakes on my potential, in high school i was unmotivated, depressed, it was awful really.
Ngl ever since Covid actually a couple weeks ago I learned how to program and I picked it up fast and now I’m able to program without any help unless it’s something I’ve never done before

I honestly spend all my time in class writing, drawing, and overall ignoring my teachers so I can help others with their problems. I want to be an advice columnist and novelist, so I try my best to help people wherever I am. But, the teachers don't care about anything unless it's on the test.
I see you commented 1yr ago. If you’re still in HS all your parents have to do is send a certified letter notifying the school superintendent that you are withdrawing. I can get that form for you if you need me to. From the moment it is sent you are done with their school and free to pursue your interest. @@JeremiahArt65 The military doesn't accept many GED holders unless they have 15 college credits. My advice is to finish a semester of community college real quick and then enlist. You could even go as far and get a four-year degree and become an officer, which is much more fun (in my opinion). If I ever decide to join the military, I believe I'll go down the officer route.

I have always been intrigued with alternative schooling for my learning and the better of my future. I know that I could still get into college, but I still fear. I will be a senior in 2019 fall and I wonder if it would be better for me to just finnish it off? Although I could be missing so much I feel like I should just jump into my own education even with the fears I have. I am just very indesisive and I dont know if I would be making a stupid choice to drop out as everyone says. I don't know if this would effect my ability to homeschool either, since I would be running my education as my parents cant help much. What do you think?
