    Have a 94 extended cab slammed, so this gives me info on those 22's on the rear. Thanks on that end, no intentions of getting rid of my truck anytime soon. Great looking truck, you are an inspiration on what can be done with an OBS

    Great looking truck! I loved my 94 half ton dash but love my 98 big block performance. Great investment of $8000 worth of wheels on a $5000 dollar truck! Don’t worry, mine needs paint. Yours is shiny!

    That pickup is either a 92/93 year model because 92 was the first year for OBS crew cab pickups & SUVs & 93 was the last year for that grille design. The first year for OBSs was 88 but they only came in regular & new extended cab pickup models at the time because crew cab pickup & SUV models with the previous square body design were still in production which lasted up through 91.

    I think the bigger holes in the rear is to dissipate the heat that those large brake drums create ....🤔🤔

    Yes, I run it. It fits inside mine and protects the alloy from getting a groove in it.

  • @Onizukachan915
    @Onizukachan915 Год назад

    Btw, if you have the premium visors, ie with lighted mirrors, those are easily recoverable at home with the fabric of your choice and reuse the cardboard inners. Just need some tacky fabric glue to tack jsut the edges to the cardboard inners then glue the inners edges together.
    I did it in a couple hours with 0 experience and sans videos or instructions.
    If not any 98-99 denali Escalade has them, Escalades are already grey. Most Suburbans had them too. No mater how tattered the fabric is (mine were junkyard and fabric dry rotted) , a careful disassembly will show you how the reassembly should go.
    Just remember NOT to cut your fabric to match the hole where the mirror goes, it actually issupposed to be trapped between the two layers of the mirro aseembly! If you do that like I did, the hole is far larger than the mirror itself!

    You don’t run the plastic piece between the wheel and the hub covers. Those things would melt anyway.

    the valve stem should be 180degree out for safety . if something gets ebtween the dualls you wont take out both tires

      Thanks for the heads up!

    • @Onizukachan915
      @Onizukachan915 Год назад

      Correct. I also run a black cap to hide the inner better and a chrome/ billet cap for the outer. Plus the inners are the ones that wind up getting dropped and lost!
      I also recommend grabbing a set of spare valve stem inserts with the install tool from Walmart etc, as occasionally you will get one that loosens up and needs to be retightened/seated.
      Bet thing I’ve found for filling and checking pressures on duals is the Kobalt pistol grip chuck with analog gauge from Lowes had a yellow 8 hose amd latching connector. can often find on sale. Add your airline fitting and you can add or lower pressure easily on inners or outers. Inners are hard to check with a rigid type or one that doesn’t latch to the stem imo.
      Amd as you just discovered, they still will hit the fenders up front, including the top of inner fender wells, and will rub tire on the rear glass fender lip. Now that you angled them, they will continue to self clearance the top6-8 inches of the lips back about 3/8” or so.

    • @motortopiaondemand

      I was at first but I’ve put 8,000 miles on the build and the truck performs close to stock but the ride is a little rougher with the thin sidewall.

    Are the 22” tires made in a heavy duty load rating?

    • @motortopiaondemand
      @motortopiaondemand  Год назад +1

      The tires have an XL load range which is between 1,800-1,900 lbs max load per tire. That’s plenty for what I will be using the truck for and most towing applications.

      It looks great for him but I would rather it looked more like a truck with a bit more clearance, at least adjustable air suspension so it could tow a trailer or haul something in the box but then again I use my truck. His is a show truck. To each his own.
