Im very excited for this, I like that they are sticking with the retro futuristic feel to it. The Thing's face looks more like the comics than the other versions we have had.

Heck yeah. That was the tag on the original comics. "The Fantastic Four: Marvel's First Family." Also one of their first superhero teams when the 60's started. The predate both the Avengers and The X-Men.

@BYYTET this is the fourth time. The '94 Fantastic Four movie was so bad that it was never fully released to theaters. It was really just for the studio to hold on to the intellectual property rights. It may be the most comic accurate F4 movie though but with the least effort put into it.
Which company owns the MCU? Oh right...

Wish Ben/The Thing had his NY accent, to me the accent fits the character.
Even though Pedro Pascal barely looks like Reed/Mr. Fantastic (I recently saw a pic where a person did a photoshop & Pedro looked more similar to the character in that one), I'm still positive that he will be great in the role.
Other than that it looks promising & I'm looking forward to see it 🙂
Sure for now this will take place in its own universe, but it will most likely merge with the MCU later on.
Speaking of MCU, If you're gonna do that, follow these two rules:
1. Watch them in release order.
2. Don't skip the post/mid credit scene(s).
It makes more sense If you do that.

Well, this really makes me give up the rule of the Fantastic Four's best welcome to Marvel. The thing looks great, Vanessa Kirby and Pedro Pascal are beautiful, and Joseph and Galctus are basically great.

it's very retro in it's aesthetic we'll see if it holds up but gunn's dc success seems to be limited to cartoons so far
I was good with the 2005-version, and its sequel, "Rise of the Silver Surfer." It's cool to see Galactus, but I think Reed Richards was miscast - not trying to be racist, but Pedro just doesn't seem like the right man for the part. It was also cool to see Herbie the Robot (which I remember from the 1980's cartoon); but Ben Grimm just didn't quite sound right. Sorry, guys, but I'm just kind of "iffy" about this one.
That’s ok, maybe when the movie comes out and you see him in the role, it might change. But nonetheless, there will always be actors that we feel not sure about

I'd be feeling a lot more positive about this if they hadn't already attempted two movies, a TV series and an animated series in recent years, with various casts and directors. The last movie was generally held to be the worst of the lot.

Sorry but for me Pedro Pascal just looks like Pedro Pascal and not like Reed Richards. And the moustache makes it even worse. The should really just have recasted Ioan Gruffod, and he isn't even much older than Pascal, and age didn't seem to be a problem at all else they would have rather casted a younger actor.
I wish we still had John Krasinski than Pascal. But I do think Pascal will do a fantastic job
@Aughnold strangely I didn't mind seeing Pascal as much as I mind recasting Johnny. Cast should be John Krasinski, Chris Evans, Alison Brie and Dave Bautista.
I’m really not feeling the retro vibe. I hope this movie surprises me and it’s actually good. However, I was surprised to Galactus!

Worst part of the trailer: The trailer itself. This looks like a hard pass.
Third time's the charm for F4? Doubt it. Aside from Deadpool, the MCU is at an all-time low. If the reviews aren't complete garbage, I'll torrent this movie and get around to watching it in a few years.
