There is absolutely nothing wrong with the old AVD panels, making a universal one just makes sense from a manufacturing perspective.
That's a great change!
One idea I'd like to share is to move feet closer to the edge, so cab can be angled without resting on the (slippery) edge instead feet.
The new gasket is a very good addition. I have changed my speaker few times and it has been a real pain to get it out with the old sticky gasket.
Excellent stuff, glad you streamlined the design so you don’t have to produce multiple iterations of the 1x12 for different speakers.

Excellent stuff. I have ye olde GXII. Used nothing else live in almost 5 years, hundreds of hours of gigs, rehearsals and playing at home. For all you guys thinking about buying or saving up etc. - just get one already. Apart from sounding awesome your back will thank you. Can't recommend this enough
Excellent News! The more information Barefaced provides, the more I cannot wait to change both my guitar and bass cabs to Barefaced. It's just a matter of finances.

I'd be curious to hear a demo of one of your 12" AVD cabs loaded with the oft-maligned Celestion Seventy-80. Is it really as bad as many guitarists seem to think? Or is it simply another case of "it doesn't sound exactly like (insert gear used by famous musician here), therefore it's bad"?
We have wondered the same thing! Maybe we'll get one just for laughs... apparently they shine when overdriven/distorted. I can't see them competing with V30 at all!
Would you recommend closed cabs or AVD for a wide stereo setup with two cabs 2-6 meters apart? Would the diffusion of the AVD still give a satisfying ping-pong delay or do I need the directional nature of closed cabs? I plan to use vertical 2x12, so maybe a mix of both with the AVD on the bottom?
We’ve found the much wider dispersion of AVD cabs makes them work far better for stereo rigs - for the same reason that hi-fi speakers and studio monitors need to have wide dispersion to generate accurate stereo images. With the narrow dispersion of a conventional guitar cab to get a good stereo image the speakers need toeing inwards and then you have a tiny sweet spot to stand on where the stereo effects really work and everyone else misses out.

Alex - Love my Reformer pair w/cream 90's. Considering a pair of 212's to replace studio 412 cabs. Please do a short vid on your 212 cabs?
Mine is in the current build queue. Will it be the old style or new style AVD?
We figured out the new style AVD about a month ago, so anything cut on the CNC machine from that point onwards has it.
