I have been to Sulmona and Abruzzo many times, and it the most beautiful area in the world, in my opinion. Could not believe I saw stuffed olives from Ascoli Piceno on the table. But having Ascoli PIceno just north of Pescara that would make sense. Next you should go to Le Marche province north of Abruzzo. Another undiscovered province of Italy that no one has ever heard of or discovered. Like Abruzzo Le Marche real Italian life happens daily.
