- Alabama went down in a huge upset to Vanderbilt on Saturday, while Ohio State, Nebraska, Penn State, Oregon, West Virginia, Pitt, Syracuse and Indiana were among the Northern teams that won in Week 6.
On this KOTN Late Knight, Doug Lesmerises and Bill Landis run through the best and most interesting Northern games, and all the ways the South can cram it.
Thanks for hanging with Kings of the North
I knew the Cram-o-meter would be on high after these SEC upsets😂
Doug is a special talent on the mic, that north rant had me dying
Long live the north!!!!
Unhinged Doug is fantastic
Fantastic show. The tears of joy are real when Xichigan loses and southern giants lose to unranked teams. So many beautiful tears. Go Bucks forever!
This show is fantastic. Feels like listening to myself rant at my SEC homer friends. The era of the South is over, and a revolution is starting.
Doug making a back-handed civil war reference against the south at 3:54
I’m buying stock in KOTN…winter is coming
loved the show tonight..the theatrics were outstanding.🎉
Fire episode, only thing that could have made this day of upsets better would have been a chance to say Horns Down
Go bucks
🧡🍊🏈🎯 Cardiac Cuse got it done this week!! 2nd Top 25 win of the season, playing late into the night after traveling 3 time zones on a short week.
Great show! 👑⚔️🥶🏈
Roll Vandy! 😂 SEC = Southern🏈 Eternally Crammit
🎉🎉🎉🎉Thanks guys💯
Cal got screwed on that targeting call being overturned
I love this show... "Are we gona make a big deal about NINE of 13 undefeated teams being in the North? Hell yeah we are! Cuz the South can CRAM IT!" 😂😂
Doug is THE King! 😂
Great show!
Michigan should have 4 losses
Joel Klatt was one of those jumping all over the Alabama v. Georgia game as proof of their dominance and reason Alabama should be #1.
Preach, Doug. This was the pinnacle for KOTN. Thanks for giving me somewhere to go so I don't have to only wallow in the Michigan Internet. Doug is almost at Dantonio levels of prophetic. Where is "youtubeguy" or whoever and all the other SEC sycophants who were here in the comments after the UGA-Bama game who were sad that you didn't slobber all over Bama and UGA as the GOATs that just played the GOAT game? You tried to tell them, Doug, but they wouldn't listen. Maybe they're starting to get it now.
Again, for those of you who really struggle with this (if youtubeguy or whoever comes back) this doesn't mean Bama is a bad team. This doesn't mean they won't be in the playoffs (lucky for them it's a 12-team field now). It means that they are completely, utterly fallible, just like every other program in college football. It means that the Bama UGA game was entertaining because it was played by flawed teams made up of 18-22 year olds (or 17-22 in Bama's case).
Saban wouldn't have lost that game. That's why Saban was the best. As Doug pointed out, Saban is gone and now it's anarchy. The South is not special. Ohio State beating Iowa does not mean Iowa sucks, it means OSU is good. People made the same mistake last year when Michigan *only* beat Iowa 26-0 and thought that meant both Iowa and Michigan sucked and that Bama would wipe them off the face of the earth. Then Michigan went on to take the final stab into Saban's chest with Doug's sword and killed King Saban. The King is dead, long live the Kings of the North.
Speaking of Michigan, it seems like you guys are finally figuring out how to talk about them. Even known Michigan hater Bill Landis is finally acknowledging the actual situation and not twisting things to prop up Michigan so that he can tear them down. I'm sure he will let his OSU/PSU brain take over whenever the NCAA stuff pops up again but that's not what today is about.
The Tuttle stuff is confusing. He was healthy for weeks? I don't know what's going on. It's alarming that Moore would go into this game with Orji and let him take three drives when he had Tuttle on the bench ready to go. Feels like avoiding the portal and trying to force Orji as QB all sort of relates to the "culture" stuff that Michigan thinks is the magic fairy dust you sprinkle on a team. Or maybe they just actually thought Orji was better. Honestly, neither option feels good. Just have to see if the staff can develop anything from here on out and then see what Moore does in the offseason and judge more based on Year 2. Michigan didn't have a chance to hire DeBoer or Fisch. If they had been available when Harbaugh left, maybe they would have. We'll never know. But those were the two obvious coaches which is why those were the two that went off the board ASAP when Bama and UW had openings. Harbaugh's timing on leaving forced us to take Moore. And that didn't seem bad in the moment. We'll see in 2026 if that's still the case.
Would love to hear Jim Tressel on the 4th down at the 50 yard line debacle.
Yep!! Go bucks
Other than running
Jack Tuttle didn’t look better than Davis Warren
Winter is coming…
lots of upsets on Oct.5 for sure : dawgs ---------- more dawgs -------------- ALL DAWGS ! Kick 'em ! (lol - kidd')
Oh. Doug keep up your support of Michigan. Tuttle had two turn overs in the 4th
the sec...it just means....mommy😢
People are down on Oregon because they expect Oregon to win every game by 50. Winning by 21 is not good enough for them.
Yes OSU shut down the Iowa rushing game, but they also shut down their passing game. Cade McNamara beat the Buckeyes in 2021. Did he get worse?
Tuttle gives michigan the best chance to have a normal offense but he is still bad and wont elevate them. The last time they played 3 qbs in a season i remember OKorn coming into a game mid way and looked pretty good leading a comeback against Purdue i think it was. We all know how good he ended up being, give a team a chance to prepare for Tuttle to see just how good he actually is.
Washington has a top 12 defense, Michigan isn’t even a good defense, they have no offense, Washington was better on paper and the field.
When Sheron Moore is given a show cause then what
Yea Westerville
Who has Texas play besides Mich who sucks
It’s driven by ESECPN
1. Texas 2. Ohio St. 3. Georgia 4. Oregon 5. Penn St.
What is Georgias best win? Come on now. They aren’t even top ten, they have a pedestrian defense, no offense, their defense is what 24 offense is 50 how are they top 5 ?
Iowas has a better defense than Georgia, there offense isn’t even ranked
Iowa is a better team than Michigan.
Ohio State should be number 1 not Texas
Washington is not good. The coaching is horrible. But lucky for them Michigan is ass on offense
Then maybe if. You want fans not to constantly. Itch them speak to your colleagues because they not pic constantly. Austin especially bad it
Doug, I am your age and don’t know the crackin story.
Michigan. Hahhaha
Doug could we have some football analysis included with your one man I'm an idiot show
Georgia wins a couple championships and now lives in Doug’s mind rent free. Pretty weak, Vanilla.
Yee yee all we seen was Iowa not ain’t any good but yall was hollering and swamp stepping like They ain’t us was or like when elfs was on us with valley belts and shookid a football for the mammy beened on like a casserole. Moore 1-0 verses yall and we still national chants
