Great blog Norm. Love the no nonsense approach. Sold a 34’ schooner, which I built over 12 years, about a year ago, after living on it for many years. I’m a landlubber now and am missing the floating life big time. I’m looking to getting a stink boat myself now. So I love watching your videos for obvious reasons. I was in the Hobart Wooden Boat show with my yacht about 6 years ago, just before Covid, so loving your reports from there too. Keep up the good work dude.
Cheers from Erik in Pomona sunny coast 🤙

Brilliant work, not only saved some coin and looks great but importantly is a very sustainable way to use plastics, well done for leading by example.

Yeah Thanks Pete. It's all good, but I really can do without the constant maintenance.
      Thanks for the comment.

This is exactly what I am going to do! We'll done and thank you. How did you fasten rail to boat? Did you use screws? Also did you join any pieces together? How did you do the joints? I think I can only get 8 foot lengths here

Bolted the stainless hand rail through it and put a screw in between those bolts and at bow.
Joined with black Sika. I drilled holes into end grain to give it a key.
